Mass Effect 4 - Hopes and Dreams

Stu at Sushimonster85 writes 'Of all the (non-sport) EA franchises, the one that provokes arguably the strongest reaction from gamer’s is Bioware’s Mass Effect. As the year has gone on, Bioware have continued to tease snippets of information, hopefully leading up to a full reveal at E3 this year, here we take a look at some of the things we’d most like to see in a new Mass Effect game.'

RPG elements and Mako exploration
Both Themal clips and charged weapons
No multicolor explosion endings

ME3 was veering towards clip and clipless weapons at the end of the multiplayer dlc with the particle rifle and M-7 Lancer

* Don't make it predictable.

Hopefully...thermal clips suck

Thats one of the things which turned it into a action shooter instead of an RPG

Mmy hopes and dreams are that it is cancelled and everything shifts to Jade Empire 2. Fat chance...

More weight to the Paragon/Renegade system please. In other games like KotOR if you went too far in either direction certain characters would stop liking you and leave the party for good.

Balance the game so that whole areas are blocked off or opened up to me based on my choices but no matter which path I choose I will still get a great experience. This leads to far more interesting playthroughs rather than everyone having the same experience.

The highlight of ME3 for me was Shep and Garrus sneaking off on the citadel to the top of the presidium to settle the best shot debate, it was very personal and especially great seeing as humans and Turians are kind of supposed to be enemies. That option to miss the shot was brilliant.

Yeah, loved how KOTOR really made your decision carry a lot of weight. With Mass Effect they always seemed a little more tribal, you could never go full on evil.

I want that ME1 and ME2 feeling of exploring the galaxy again and not knowing just what you are walking into when you land.

Aside from exploration, I love the team-building and recruiting. I'd love to see more customization options on the new ship compared to the Normandy. And of course a few nods to Shepard wouldn't be the worst decision ever.
