Halo Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor believes that Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s disastrous launch and long-running online problems are “definitely a black eye for us”.
Legend has it that this list of the best Xbox One Co-Op games is so good, it may require four people to fully enjoy.
GF365: "A friend makes the adventure all the more fun. Here are the best video game companions that will keep you company."
343:
We have a special treat for you this month.
Something that becomes part of the great journey of many Halo fans is learning about all the stuff that didn’t make it into the games over the years.
When ambitious and talented developers are up against the challenges posed by limited time and resources, having to make tough decisions about what best serves the final product, many things end up in the horrifying tenth circle of Hell which Dante deemed too terrifying to tell us about: the cutting room floor.
"When ambitious and talented developers are up against the challenges posed by limited time and resources"
Literally nothing in that sentence is anyway relatable to 343i.
“However, Halo 5 is being made by a completely different team. It’s a singular product. It was built from the ground up for this new technology, rather than being sort of dragged kicking and screaming from 2001 and forced and shoehorned into a 2014 console. So the problem spaces are still very challenging but they’re radically different. I think the beta is already a decent first step, in a retail environment, showing that we don’t have the same problems.”
Good to see 343i owning up to this. Experiences learnt from MCC should help make Halo 5 a much better game.
Just strive to make sure Halo 5 delivers on all fronts.a rock solid experience with no issues at launch.
It's appalling that 343i still hasn't completely fixed Halo: The Master Chief Collection... six months after release.
Are 343i the new DICE (Battlefield 4 problems)? Hope not.
Maybe they should turn the Black Eye skull off?
I've been saying this forever, MCC will just be an example to not do ambitious collections in the future for Microsoft and other publishers.
The game is a networking nightmare and hasn't been done before so it was bound to have problems but it just damages the image of Halo 5.
I have no faith in 343... The halo 5 beta had the same problems the MCC did... If you were trying to party up and join games with friends... I know it was only a beta but 343 seems to struggle in that aspect
