As a massive JRPG fan for many years now I would rate XSEED as a B rated developer. They have the odd good game but most of there games are indie game level. They have a decent fan base though but there games are not £50 games they are £20 games.

Yeah...with games like Ys, Ragnarok Oddyssey, Legend of heroes, Pandora's Tower, Killer is Dead, Senran Kagura, Lunar, Valhalla Knights, Rune Factory, Wild Arms(they have rights to publish), Way of the Samurai, Akiba's Trip, and Onechanbara I can completely see the point you're trying to make.

Might be good to learn more about the company before bashing them. They aren't a developer, they're a publisher, specializing in localizing Japanese games. They have a decent fan base because they do a good job of localizing games which we wouldn't see otherwise.

they do have the lower budget games they release too, but I don't think it's fair to classify them as B rated unless you want to do that for every publisher out there that does the same thing.

If it's not Final Fantasy, it's B level. Most people think that way.

I can't say that I like every game XSEED publishes, but I must say that even the ones I did not like (eg.: I really tried to like Ys, but I just can't), I didn't have any complaints about the translation.

And I really hope we get Rune Factory 5 some day. RF4 is one of the best and most addictive games I ever played.

Xseed is very close to my heart. Just keep porting Senran Kagura and I will always love and support them ^_^
