PC gamers don't have to envy console fellows anymore, as they're getting their own E3 conference this time around. It's named PC Gaming Show.
PC reigns supreme!
It always did and always will!
now go play Uncharted , Bloodborn , Demon souls, MgS4 etc etc ....But.. but ..but
What if we don't care for those games. I certainly don't.
@breakpad I rather play Dota 2, Arma 3, Dayz, TF2, CS go, Star craft 2, Total war series ;-) Games you mention tend to get old real fast sorry.
Can't play Stalker on console, Arma, or WOW, or SWTOR, or about 10,000 other games that are PC only.
@breakpad There is no Uncharted, Demon Souls or MGS on PS4.
@breakpad Who said pc gamers only own pc's?
"...Uncharted , Bloodborn , Demon souls, MgS4..." These exclusives don't mean much to PC gaming. Consoles have tons of exclusives for decades and yet PC gaming is still here, alive and kicking. GTAV sold 40 million copies on consoles and yet there are still millions of gamers who bought it for the PC even if it's 2 years late.
"now go play Uncharted , Bloodborn , Demon souls, MgS4 etc etc ....But.. but ..but" try putting that demons souls disk and mgs4 disk into your ps4. the pc has thousands of games available to any new or old pc user. here's a thought, how about every game gets released on all platforms. that way everyone wins. let the consumer decide which hardware is best for them without the need to have exclusives to help sell it.
Knowledge* Reigns Supreme
cant wait to pay for my next pc exclusive via Kickstarter. I'm still waiting on Star Citizen though...
I would hope that AMD and nvidia compete much like microsoft and sony does.
* It's good to have a least one united combined presentation representing PC as a whole, but I doubt it's for the PC games, and more for those who may not be. * Most PC gamers will be following their favorite developers during E3 anyways, who will I'm sure have their own individual presentations. Still a nice idea though.
"the PC Gaming Show will take place at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. In partnership with Twitch, the PC Gaming Show will be streamed live, and feature new game reveals, updates on beloved series, and perspectives from key PC developers." awesome news, gives pc gamers even more to look forward to. i still do like the fact that devs would announce games on PC before E3 events, but this is real good news.
PCs as a gaming platform has lots of E3 type events. But it would be cool to have a big one to bring light to exclusives and various services. More exposure is usually a good thing.
I like E3 conferences. The more the merrier.
all right. this confirms it. this will be the best E3 in a while.
i just switched from console to PC ... oh what did i miss all these years :)
nothing most of them are multiplats and ports also mmo and strategies
And salty, salty tears. Generics go both ways pal, I could easily just proclaim most console games as boring action games and hollow "cinematic experiences".
1080p and 60fps ??!
Thats the minimum lol. More like 1440p then 4k :P
GPU's pretty much just reached the point of handling 1440p quite well i'd say, and with Gsync/Freesync it will be even better. Titan x is uber expensive for what it is, R9 390 and a 1440p screen is the way to go if you want good and smooth performance imo. 4K is not ready and won't be for years unless you run multi GPU and then you have to put up with micro stutter.
You only missed thousands of games. There is no library as vast as PC. You can even play console and arcade games on PC.
About time. PC gaming is having a fantastic resuragance, it should be appropriately represented at large industry events. It even brings in more revenue than consoles. http://www.journaldugamer.c...
About damn time
Final Fantasy VII HD HD confirmed for pc!
Master level. http://i.imgur.com/jDnXPBB....
Considering almost everything shown at E3 is on a PC, you might as well call E3 a PC conference
Wow this is huge:) Pc gaming has made an amazing comeback in the last 5 years.
Indeed man! This is truly the Golden Age of PC gaming
I like consoles, I love PC. I have my PC for Exclusives & Multiplat. I have my PS4 for Exclusives. I have my Xbox One for Exclusives. Family has a WiiU & we use it for Exclusives. I'm enjoying gaming.
Why are u people always picking fights with each other like every time. It's just embarrassing
Like that guy said all the games at E3 are shown via PC so it make no difference all this does is allow PC to slap consoles around on a big stage.
It will kneel consoles graphically at E3, can't wait to see what's cooking for PC.
Ever since i've been into PC's since i first got one, my consoles never got much use. N64 and Dreamcast were the last consoles i played a ton of, played the original Xbox quite a bit as well. But these days consoles don't hold my attention since i can do everything and a ton more on my PC and it's not locked down so i have freedom to do anything i want on it. I still like handhelds though, but i recently upgraded my PC stuff to x99 so i have a powerful comp. Can't wait to see if Valve show off a Source 2 game at E3. I might get an R9 390/390x GPU when they release, and may upgrade to a 1440p Freesync screen or stick to 1080p.
This is going to be so good. Years I have been waiting for PC to become a part of E3!
I'm setting an alarm for when all the 'PC is dead' editorials start up again. Three years seems about right.
It's about time! Those graphics be awesome!
if more pc game supported game pads id be more inclined to invest, mouse and key board is not the end all be all controller and for some games just isnt viable way to play
This should open your eyes a bit. Just so you're aware, Xinput basically means Xbox 360 controller support. Logitech and other companies also make Xinput supported controllers, which have the layout of a Playstation controller. Xinput has been the standard controller application on PC ever since the Xbox 360 came out in 2005. Here is a regularly updated list of games that use Xinput on PC, and you'll probably be surprised at how many games there are that support Xinput: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... Also, Steam can be navigated entirely just by using a controller, so you can pretty much get the entire console experience on PC these days.
yea some games like bad company 2 arent on that list and i would really like to play that game again. And i dont use 360 controllers i hate that controller and use a ps4 one since awesomenauts and other games read it as a gamepad
Well, you could try to use the Logitech F710 controller for most of the other games, which is practically the same as a Playstation controller. I used to be exactly like you, and Bad Company 2 was a game that I also wanted to play on PC, and still do to this day. At some point in the last 4 years or so, I decided that I didn't want to lose out on a game experience simply because I really didn't know how to play with a mouse and keyboard. I can certainly say that I'm glad that I forced myself to learn. These days when I sit at my desk to play with a mouse and keyboard, I get the same feeling of comfort and assurance that I used to only get while using a Playstation controller. I couldn't even get used to using a 360 controller for the longest time either, but I actually prefer it now after spending time with one on my PC over the last 5 years, and now also on my Xbox One. I wouldn't let a controller type stop you from playing on a platform. At first you will have a hard time, but like anything, practice makes perfect. But, isn't gaming all about the challenge anyway?
PC master race! PC gamer here btw!
