Watch Dogs 2 appears on Ubisoft employee's CV

Watch Dogs 2 is in development at Ubisoft, according to the online CV of the game's senior gameplay programmer.

Julien Risse, who works at Ubisoft's Paris studio, lists the unannounced sequel on his LinkedIn profile alongside earlier titles Watch Dogs and its DLC Bad Blood, but doesn't offer any hints as to when we may see it.

I don't think anyone with a brain is going to buy this as ubisoft titles are usually pretty broken now and unfinished.

Activemessiah1270d ago

You'd think that but they'll flock to buy this then bitch on the comment section angry about Ubisoft sounding all surprised like always... they never learn... whole thing reminds me of domestic violence really.

freshslicepizza1270d ago

i look at each title on their own. watchdogs was a mess but the potential for a good franchise remains. when assassins creed came out i said the same thing and assassins creed 2 was much better than the first one. let's hope they learned from releasing broken games.

I wouldnt touch this game with a barge pole. Even after they show gameplay, ill wait for people to pick it up and see what the general consensus is...

I was burned with Watch dogs. Worst protagonist ever Aiden is the most boring character ever made.

I actually doubt they will make this any worse than the first watch dogs. As it is the first onewasnt really was just average. Im sure the second one will be better

Unity says hello.......

i dont think this game will be any worse than the first one, but im not going to get it just out of principle of the first one being a fiasco and not fulfilling the promise it was suppose to be.

I hope it is in development, it'd be silly not to since the first sold very well. I for one really enjoyed Watch Dogs.

No doubt a sequels being made, if I recall its the fasting selling game for Ubisoft.

Just glad they have decided not to make it a yearly title.

And hopefully its a current gen game (no PS360 version)

I have yet to play it, and despite all the controversy, cant wait to play that and a new one.

Agheil1270d ago

I actually enjoyed Watch Dogs so I'm looking forward to this !

Couldn't agree with you more. I even tried to but it said I already voted..

Quite looking forward to this, just hope they change the location really, Chicago was okay but somewhere bigger, maybe more than one city would be cool

Peace_Love_and_FPS1270d ago

I feel like they never truly got the atmosphere of the different locations surrounding and within Chicago. I remember the developer saying "this is a place you wouldn't want to be at night, lots of gang members" which never played any impact as Aiden could walk through the darkest alleys, just stare at the scariest dudes, Nada. They need to make a truly living, breathing city, not just 4 or 5 litlle things civilians do like repeat the same rap battles over and over.

They should look to their biggest competition for this: GTA.

darrenb19881270d ago (Edited 1270d ago )

maybe if they expand and include other cities in the state? no idea what state

Peace_Love_and_FPS1269d ago

That would be awesome! Or a boarder like in Red Dead Redemption, maybe Toronto and Detroit become smart cities but through different corporations and they fight cyber proxy wars.

Perjoss1270d ago

Most Ubi games could use an extra 12 months of development, but you know, profits and stuff.
