The Evolution of Xenoblade Chronicles X: How its Visuals Have Changed for the Better

Allisa James from DualShockers writes:

"The constant bombardment of new information, trailers and screenshots for Xenoblade Chronicles X can be overwhelming at times for even the most die-hard of fans. As such, it’s easy to take for granted the changes in the visual style and all-around graphical improvements.

Let's take a look at how the visual style of Chronicles X has evolved from conception to now."

* I just played a few DS games the other day.

The faces in that were.....charming.

I loved it. still had a great time.

* It might effect you if you do nothing but stand and stare at faces for 300+ hours.

Started playing last night. Game runs so smoothly. High framerates all the time. Graphics are pretty nice, all cut scenes are in game so I guess they could have rendered some higher res cgi stuff.. like many companies do but it does not change the quality of the story.

superchiller1358d ago

But what about the faces? Those horrible, horrible faces?

"In Xenoblade Chronicles X, Stupid Faces Are Ruining Everything ..."

herbs1358d ago

Get over it when your actually playing the game you will not be focusing on the faces. I'm surprised a delusional hater hasn't mentioned PS2 looking graphics yet.
Game looks stellar...

V3Jay1358d ago

For some reason, I'm getting sick and tired of people complaining at just one a little aspect on the game... Get over it. At least the game is so huge and marvelous of how it looks. That's much important than just only focusing on the "horrible" faces.

starchild1358d ago

Screaming about supposed downgrades is quite the fad it seems. Personally, I find it stupid. Most of the time the downgrades are all in people's heads. The few times the downgrades are real they're usually so insignificant it's just pointless and childish to make a big deal about them.

The only two things that really matter (as far as graphics) are:
1. Does it look good?
2. Did the developer fairly represent the game throughout development?

As long as you know what you are buying before the game comes out and as long as it looks good who cares?

themonado1358d ago (Edited 1358d ago )

This is seriously getting old. People have been complaining about these faces for a year, and nothing is going to change. The game is already finished. This might have been funny at first, but you're just beating a dead horse at this point. Find something new already.

Emme1357d ago

The faces arent worse than in Star Ocean or Phantasy Star, no problem for me.

WiiUsauce1357d ago

Or the elder scrolls and dark should series. Those games have far worse looking character models, yet the games are still fantastic. Not to mention you can create a pretty butt ugly commander Shepard, and that's another great franchise.

People saying the faces are ugly are just butt hurt this game looks better then anything out there so they nitpick look the character designs are not great but the graphics on the actual characters are the best by far in this gendre...

Games like Unchartered ect are not even in the same league for scope and complexity basically if WiiU can handle Xenoblade X it can handle anything END OF,why because if you make a corridor hack and slash on wiiu you could push the graphics as far as liked,Retro Studios said WiiU is very powerful and they can use as many polygons as they want with wiiu.
