Marcus Estrada writes: "Although many modern games are likely unaware of the name, The Bitmap Brothers were effectively iconic game developers from the late 80s to early 90s. Their library of titles was vast, spanning from Speedball to Gods to The Chaos Engine. Each title featured gorgeous pixel art, enticing gameplay, and somehow just stood out against the zillions of other games vying for attention on computers. Today their legacy lives on in large part to re-releases of their most famous games on GOG, Steam, and mobile phones. But to a generation of gamers, The Bitmap Brothers were of immense importance. As such, Read-Only Memory have decided to publish The Bitmap Brothers: Universe."

After watching the making of: https://youtu.be/Zir-oFQT4I... I'd love to see them do a Robocop game.
This looks so much fun, after Terminator Resistance as well it’s good to see that in games, unlike movies, the Terminator license is still producing quality

From GameWatcher: "Publisher Rebellion today announced the acquisition of The Bitmap Brothers' brand and its portfolio. Going forward, the studio aims to "bring classic The Bitmap Brothers games to new platforms, and [...] create new titles based on its beloved licenses."
The Bitmap Brothers is known for creating quite a few great games during the late 80s and early 90s, including names like The Chaos Engine, Xenon, and Speedball.
I’m definitely interested in this. Back in the day you could guarantee if it was by Bitmap Brothers or Bullfrog it was going to be an awesome game.
Rebellion have snapped up a load of studios in the last few years. I'm guessing they are trying to become a big publisher. Just wondering how they have the money because I can't remember them doing much since AvP!
Good to see The Bitmap Brothers name continuing though.
