The most pre-ordered games in the USA ranked by unit sales 1 Halo 5: Guardians (XOne) 2 Bloodborne (PS4) 3 Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4) 4 The Elder Scrolls Online (XOne) 5 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4)
Thats mighty impressive for Bloodborne. I think it will sell very well by the end of its life span. And Halo 5 still at NO.1 is great too for a game still far off. Hopefully it delivers an awesome experience. And great to see The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight on top 5 too. And to see Witcher 3 numbers on PS4 almost equal the PC and Xone pre orders combined is great too. My guess PS4 will be the sale leader in both Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight.
You also want to consider Witcher 3 PC pre orders on Steam and GOG CD Project Red's own store. most of the pre orders are digital on PC
I'm curious. What is the point of posting this now, almost a month later?
It's vgchartz , is there any point ever really ? I mean made up slightly close numbers are made up slightly close numbers no matter when they come out.
Exactly. If you look at the preorders available on an hourly basis for Amazon, Walmart, Gamestop, and Best Buy, vgchartz isn't remotely accurate. Not even in the ball park as regards the correct title. Look at Amazon as one example. It has been a good litmus test of overall market performance. What was the top preordered game March 21st? The same game that currently sits on top the charts for preorders at Amazon. The Witcher Wild Hunt for PS4. What is it at Best Buy? Mortal Kombat X for PS3. vgchartz is just one big lie after another.
How do you pronounce 21th?
That's how you say 21st if you have a lisp.
Halo 5 viral marketing seems to be paying off. For the first time since Halo 1. I am actually looking forward to the single player campaign more than the mp. Lets restart and finish the fight....again!
Wow halo 5 is really the most anticipated game this year it is absolutely phenomenal how many people are waiting for it. I can't imagine how many more worldwide pre orders there is for it including most of my friends.
Hope 343 can deliver because three strikes and they are out in my book. Halo 4 story and multiplayer was AWFUL, the graphics were good though. MCC was a disaster launch it has taken months to be anywhere close to playable and some still have problems. 343 needs to deliver on this one.
Halo 4 story was one of the best in the Halo universe I loved it; the multiplayer I loved as well I remember at the time I didn't even know it was being made by different developers and they absolutely delivered a solid game which I loved and played so much and is up there for one of the best fps out. But I can also see why people did dislike it because of all the Spartan abilities and loadOuts. Halo 5 is going back to its roots with no loadouts and everyone being Equal. The Halo 5 beta was honestly the best Halo mp I have ever played in my life I think 343 have absolutely nailed it and to be honest halo could be the biggest and best game this year and it's got pre orders because everyone knows that. You also need to remember that 343 weren't working on mcc, they were working on halo 5 while mcc was being put together so to be honest 343 are up there as one of the best developers in the industry imo. Not only do they make good stories but they have amazing multiplayer to back it up.
I don't think Halo4's story was bad... But the story telling was pretty poor. But that's pretty much been a problem throughs the whole series (just amplified with 4) I'm just now going through the Halo extended universe media, so now halo4's story, for me, has gone from awful to awesome. Halo4's MP was truly aweful though. But to be fair, it was just a continuation of the CODification started by Bungie with Halo Reach. MCC was a horrible launch in terms of MP. There's no way around it. The way I see it, 343 has had a lot of time to learn from any failing with this franchise. If the current marketing campaign is any indication, they are aiming to tell a better story. The Halo 5 beta has convinced me that they are returning the MP to its halo roots. And the MCC experience, if anything, will make as smooth launch the number 2 priority with Halo 5. Those 3 things give me confidence that halo5 will be one of the best Halo games to date. And given their recent failings, I'm sure they are well aware that they can afford any more blunders.
I don't care for preorders. Just hope its a good game. Multiplayer beta was great. Lets hope the SP is great too. Last chance 343!
It's great to see Halo getting the anticipation going for it. I think, in my assumption, that the most anticipated game will be one that will be shown tomorrow. Either way, the more games the better! MGSV is definitely another contender for this year.
What has happened over at VGChartz, they are like a month behind on all their charts? Maybe they were tired or fixing or not their US monthly numbers?
and people say halo is dead lol Yes halo is dad =D
Only fanboys say that. Everyone else in their right mind knows just how big it is. I mean look it's coming out after all the games this year and it's the most pre ordered. It even had more than bloodborne on the month of release. Halo is going to be bigger than ever after the beta I can tell you that. Right now it is the biggest exclusive out on any console and the pre orders prove it.
The pre-order numbers (which can be wrong in and of themselves), prove very little. Yes, on paper, they look great, but it's Halo. Frankly, I see nothing particularly Earth-shattering about the current figures and comparing it to Bloodborne is just silly. OT: Gonna be a quiet period once The Witcher and Batman come out.
Currently have Halo 5, The Division, Guitar Hero, and Xenoblade pre-ordered.
Can't wait for Halo 5 my Pre-Order is in.
