Blu-Ray On Xbox? No Way

Chris Morris writes,

"Give up any hopes you might have had about adding a Blu-Ray player to your Xbox 360.

Shane Kim, vice president of strategy and business development for Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment business, tells me that the company has "no interest" in adding Blu-Ray functionality to its console, opting instead to focus on digital distribution."

As pointed out by Delta FX's report it is Blu-ray, not Blu-Ray. I apologize for any confusion.

The PS3 has both. And hardcore gamers are far and few.

Saves consumers another half assed committment like they did with the HD DVD drive..... "Great I got a new movie lets play it......wait......won't read?!? Update won't come for a few weeks? WTF?!?"

Moron. the Blu-ray is developed and owned by the Blu-ray association. Sony just has it in their console. Do your homework next time.

they should use HD-DVD for their games with the 720; and if people want a blu-ray player they can buy a PS3 of an ordinary blu-ray player.
