So those 15 minutes were PC High. And PS4 is suppose to equal PC High of The Witcher 3. So if it is true then it will look like a visual masterpiece on PS4. Cant wait to see Ultra Settings :O..

PCGamingNoobs3296d ago

if the visuals on ps4 are the same the video shown on a high setting pc, i imagine the ps4 will suffer some draw distance compared to the video.

my choice is ps4, first game ive pre ordered in some time, i feel confident with this one to do so.

MasterCornholio3296d ago

Hopefully.

:)

It did look pretty good.

Greyfoxdbz3296d ago

They said recently that each console has its own presets and optimisations, so high on PC won't be completely identical to consoles. I hope it is close though, they seem confident in the console's visuals at least so yay.

starchild3296d ago

I have no doubt it will be a gorgeous looking game on all three platforms. With the way previewers have been praising the Xbox One version's graphics I'm sure it's going to be very impressive indeed on PS4 and PC.

3-4-53296d ago

You realize there are like 50+ different levels of "PC High" right ?

But yea it should look good.

DarkOcelet3296d ago

Yeah, i know that but it usually means most of the settings are high. Maybe tweak in the AA and whatnot.

Well, the consoles have their own presets. It's probably close to high on PC, with some differences in lod, texture quality etc.

The way I see it, this is going to look pretty damn good on consoles too. You should be able to sit back and enjoy a visual masterpiece.

Dspdspes3296d ago

Exactly. Everybody wins!!!

Tex1173296d ago

If the games looks as good as Dragon Age Inquisition (which I thought looked fine and in some places, gorgeous). Ill be a happy camper.

Seems it will look that good, so yeah. Just let me play the game!

starchild3296d ago

Yeah, Dragon Age Inquisition really is a pretty good looking game. I've played the PC version and it looks great. I haven't played the console versions, but I'm sure they look nice too.

That said, I'm nearly certain the Witcher 3 will look quite a lot better. I know what CDPR are capable of and we've all seen the gorgeous trailers. Then you also have all the previewers raving about its visuals. If The Witcher 3 doesn't end up being one of the very best looking games around, I'll eat my hat.

Roadrun013296d ago

I liked DA aswell, also the grafics, but this takes the Visuals far beyond that of DA. Álone the trees and diversitet of the landscape, is hell of alot better than in DA.

starchild3296d ago

I know what you mean. I've never seen in any other game such natural, realistic looking forests as those we've seen in this game. This, for example, looks far better to me than any other forest I've ever seen in a game: http://postimg.org/image/eo...

ualredyknodo3296d ago

DAO was one of those moments where I knew we finally arrived in next gen (graphically at least). That next gen hair technology.

jznrpg3296d ago

The game will look good regardless, what bothers me is reading they hate paid dlc and dlc would be free?? , and then seeing season pass on PSstore last night.

Snookies123296d ago (Edited 3296d ago )

They're talking about hating little things you can get for money. Like costumes and things like that. Their Season Pass will be two expansions to the game. 15 hours of content a piece, from what I've heard.

Kalebninja3296d ago

they never said dlc would be free they said they are releasing 16 free dlcs and now two big paid expansions. they don't think we should pay for small content but dlc that's longer than the average game is another thing....

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave18d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan18d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.

Infinite but not the first two games? Witcher 3 but not the first two games?? GTA V but not literally any of the games before it??? Portal 2 but not the first? Also if you're going to play Shadow of The Colossus play the remaster and not the remake. Can't say I disagree with the list but my man it's all over the place.

Name Last Name42d ago

I mean some sequels are objectively better and you don’t need to play the whole series.

Inverno42d ago

But most of these games have a story to follow, sure you can catch up with a YouTube vid but where's the fun in that?

LucasRuinedChildhood42d ago (Edited 42d ago )

A list like this isn't telling you not to play the previous games if you want to. It's just giving you legendary games to play.

But tbh, you don't always have to force yourself to play every entry in a franchise to get to the better ones.

- The vast majority of Witcher 3 players never played the first 2 and had a great time. The first 2 games aren't in the same league.
- The GTA games are self-contained with the odd fun reference. You can easily jump into any of them.
- The Shadow Of The Colossus remake looks and controls better than the original (plus it has a 60fps option while the remaster is just 30fps). New players will enjoy it more.
- Portal 2 is a lot better than Portal 1 and takes the concept much further gameplay-wise. Storywise, Portal 1 is fairly light too. Not that you shouldn't play it but realistically ... you'd love Portal 2 whether you play it or not (at lot of Portal 2 players have never played 1).

Bioshock 1 is the only one I agree with you on simply because it's one the best games of all time and arguably better than Infinite. No other setting like Rapture.

Looking at the list, I'd recommend playing Uncharted 1 before 2 but no doubt, 2 is the legendary one you have to play.

Inverno42d ago

I get it, but that's just my opinion on his opinion. I just think that before you play a sequel you should still play what came before it. Maybe it's just me but i find it fascinating playing through the first game in a series and seeing how it has evolved through its sequels. Like I said I don't disagree with the list, other than SoTC which I strongly believe the remaster of the original should be played above the remake.

AuraAbjure41d ago

Awesome list! Hot take on Fear (and it's hard af expansion Persaus Mandate!) Bioshock Infinite is stellar, so is the Witcher 3 and you nailed it by having Ocarina of Time. So many fantastic games! Gotta play 'em all! Next one on my list is Prey after I beat Dead Space 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.
