Rumor: Xbox One Game Streaming Implemented In May Update

The Xbox One May update might well include the Game Streaming feature that was introduced by Phil Spencer on the Windows 10 Event this year.

Its actually the perfect kind of game for that. You don't really need a big screen. Just lay there, drooliing from the side of the mouth, almost paralysed and spam the triggers.

Lmao I just clocked the 'streak' to my tablet typo. Ugh, with the 'gains in bed' comment this just sounds even worse lmao.

My PS4 sits in my room so no room for the X1. Also my room can't house the mammoth that is the X1.

That's one of the reasons I got the Xbox with Kinnect. Can't beat knocking one out to an audience. So if that audience happened to be some NSA agents... even better. Just remember...

On topic - This feature is Awesome, comes in handy to play from my Surface Pro or Lappy Toppy. I'm on the Preview program so I'll be very happy to test this hopefully tonight when I remember to update.

I think Microsoft are really upping their game, keeping their intensions and short and sweet, delivering on their promises and offering an eco system that really does extend beyond the console itself.

You can use it wired without an adapter. A micro usb cable works great. Would be the same one most non Apple phones use.

MS has a wireless adapter coming out later this year if you want to go the wireless route.

They have already said you can stream games to any windows 10 device. They were very specific about how they worded this to prevent confusion.

Good, looking forward to seeing what it can do. I really hope it can stream Dolby Digital 5.1 at the very least.

Steam home streaming is really impressive at 1080p60, but it is currently limited to stereo sound. That makes it a second rate experience when it doesn't really need to be. I'd take 720p60 if it comes with better sound. The Xbox comes with the added bonus that it is virtually silent when running games, so it won't disturb whoever might be occupying my front room (my PC is... not built for silence).

Hopefully Sony will follow suit and release a PC client for remote play as well, as the PSTV is also very limited in terms of sound.

Interesting note, I noticed the broadcast setting for twitch, then there are two more options one is play to streaming and the other is stream to other devices? haven't noticed the other before either

Too bad you need a windows10 device only. Windows 10 isnt even out yet and Microsoft tablets arent doin too good right now.

Good point. Didn't even know Windows tablets/ Windows 10 even existed until a month ago. MS needs to give Android support, then its a good idea...but something tells me their won't.

Phil Spencer said the next few months will be interesting for preview members i think this is what he meant. Windows 10 is also been released early its now summer instead of winter so we likely going to get a OS Change for x box 1 soon as well.

I have been using Windows 10 for about 4 months its very stable not many bugs have i experienced, its better than Windows 8.1.I would recommend people to try it its free your computer will be fine!

To connect you have to type in consoles IP this is already there over a month on PC (x box 1 app)
