After you adjust your graphics sit back and enjoy with a shmoke and a pancake...

Im fine with my cigar in a whaffle

I am out for vacation, however my brother is playing this at max settings 1080p, VRAM usage is about 2.7 gigs. The game isnt that demanding. I would think any mid range PC hardware should be able to play this at 1080p 60fps atleast on high settings.

brich2333663d ago

What GPU and CPU is your brother playing on?

Meltic3663d ago

i have gtx 970 4 gb and 8 gb ram with i5 3770k and i easy max all settings 60 fps

talitundie253663d ago

Basically the same set up as mine, but you aint getting 60FPS stable then If I'm getting an average of 48 - 55fps and as low as 37 when maxed out totally at 1080p

Maul_T_Pass3663d ago

Are you maxing MSAA as well? Because at only 4x I get massive frame drops with the same hardware as you.

Cernunnos3663d ago

Of course you get a massive performance loss with 4x MSAA. Do you know how MSAA works?

MadLad3662d ago

Are you sure that's what is in your setup this time? You seem to always be confused on the matter . . .

Meltic3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

For a stable frame rate i cutted down MSAA to 2x and turned on TXAA and i get stable 60 fps.

Can't be maxed though. It uses 3.7 GB maxed out at 1080p.

Stapleface3663d ago

That's not maxed out at 2.7 gigs. I'm at 2.8 with 1080p and I don't have everything maxed but everything is at least on high with certain ones maxed out. Runs at a solid 60fps in every situation I've found on a 780ti.

HardcoreHostile3662d ago

I am intrigued how you are getting 60fps... I get 30fps at best and I have the nvidia geforce gigabyte 780Ti windforce x3 GHz edition... Please share so that I can actually play, the mouse response also sucks...

Stapleface3662d ago

IDK what to tell you. Sounds like you have something wrong, or your cpu isn't up to the task.

d0x3603663d ago

I don't think so. Max settings the game uses like 3.2 gigs of vram at 1080p

r1sh123663d ago (Edited 3663d ago )

I have the asus mars rog gtx 760 x2.. (2 760s 1 board) GPU..

i7-4770k
gtx 760 x2
16gb ram etc...

The game runs silky smooth with everything on very high.
The only time I have ever had lag is on a couple of occasions in multiplayer when 12 people joined the free mode at once, other than this its been good.
UBi/EA etc.. need to see how rockstar have optimised this game

Im paying full 1200p 60fps - the most Ive seen it drop to is 56 fps.
Other than that its really good.

I'm glad that many pc players get to enjoy this optimized game at good settings. Having said that..............

I truly wish that there were some sort of "Ultra Texture Pack" or something. I wouldn't mind more realistic textures for the rigs that can handle it.

Great job by Rockstar nonetheless.

rodiabloalmeida3663d ago

The game already has 4K textures. But I got your point.

gamernova3663d ago

This thing is super optimized. I am maxing 1440p with a 1ghz 780. I didn't think I would be able to. Sure beats the hell out of the joke Assassin's creed has become on PC.

xTheMercenary_3663d ago

What are your specs also what 780 are you using and what average frame rates do you get??

GTA V's graphics are the bomb on PC. Makes me want a 4K remake of GTA IV just to have the best story and the best looking NYC all in the same game.

My problem with the game is they want to install a Kernel level driver before I can even boot the game in sngle player mode I don't care about GTA online

I flat out refuse to allow any game kernal level it's a huge risk I don't need to take

It's not the only game that has done this. Ut it's absolutely shutting the dorr completely on PC gaming for me kernal level drivers are ineffective at preventing cheaters but publishers insist on continued use

Pyrofire9541d ago

My big issue is how long it takes to transition between open world and interiors in Online.
Sometimes it can take over a minute of just starring at a black screen.

Let it sleep already R*. VI is coming and this game has had 12 years in the spotlight.

It looks great, got everything running on ultra, have long shadows set to max and it's running silky smooth.

The ray tracing and lighting makes the game look amazing.

CrimsonIdol45d ago

The reflections are a noisy mess, particularly with DLSS. Shame they didn't have ray reconstruction, seems to work wonders for cyberpunk

MrDead45d ago

The reflections are like a mirror, I have no noise at all. Are you sure you have it set correctly?

CrimsonIdol45d ago

I've everything maxed out. the reflections DO have a lot of noise in them in motion. When you stop for a second to look at them they look okay but when you're driving around there's a definite blur and sparkle to them that you often get from RT. Again, exactly the same as you get in Cyberpunk without ray reconstruction but is much reduced with.

MrDead45d ago

I really don't have that, what you see here is what I have in motion even online vids have it completely clear. I'm running of a 5090 with everything set to the highest.

https://m.youtube.com/watch...

CrimsonIdol44d ago

Ah I see. Well if you have a 5090 then I'm guessing are you're probably getting quite a high frame rate (I'm guessing hitting that 120 fps max), which will make a difference too, since the RT samples in the reflections accumulate temporally. I'm on a 3080 so I'm keeping my frame rate around 60-75 at 4K, and the low sample/high noise of the RT is definitely apparent… particularly on moving cars at night time I've noticed the most (makes sense given highest contrast between light and dark) DLSS amplifies the noise too, it's the big thing that sticks out as low fidelity when the rest resolves nicely

CrimsonIdol44d ago (Edited 44d ago )

Just had a chance to watch this on my 4K monitor now. Do you not see the blurriness of the reflections in relation to everything else in motion? Like it's definitely better and less noisy than it is for me at 60fps with quality DLSS but it's still pretty bad compared to how crisp the screen space/cubemap ones were when driving about. fine when you stop for a second but driving around you're rarely stopped so it's near constant muddy reflections.
