Thomcult: Well that's it! The big three have all had their press conferences and chance to make an impression. What good has come from this big corporate bonanza? If nothing else, each press conference showed just how steep the learning curve has been for all three thus far into the current generation.
The first thing we can take away from all the news and announcements is that the word "exclusive" isn't worth the digital paper it's printed on. One of the big assumptions of both Sony and Microsoft when coming into this generation was that big exclusive software titles would be the catalyst that would drive console sales. However, their strategy of attempting to acquire big exclusive names and form fierce alliances with studios has since proved a dangerous business.
