OnlySP: There is a lot, and we mean a lot of big single player games coming in 2015.
Exactly what I thought.
Yes...last gen was filled with 1st person multi-player games. I am burned out from them.
I just don't want games which has a lifespan that entirely depends on if other people stops and moves on to which the company pulls the plug on.... some of us do not move on and keep playing it.
Awesome, and hoping to see Dishonored 2 at E3
Very nice. I want jak 4 😞
yep. jak4 onimusha syphon filter ratchet and clank heavenly sword ....... just to name a few.
Very good list, i would love another Sly Cooper game too.
I think ND denied returning to the series, but that doesn't mean someone else can continue it.
That's music to my ears.
Very much enjoying the fact that developers are really putting more work into narratives and single player games in general again. Give us more to cover as well! ;)
absolutely - multiplayer is rinse and repeat with different skins and few gimmick ideas (mechs and exo suits?)
I like coop though, I think team based PvE games (with PvP for competitive people like myself) are the way to go. Too bad split screen is dying :/
Yeah!!!! Good news.. 2015 the year Next Gen games start taking off. Looking forward to witcher 3 & Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and many more.
The more great single player games the better. The only multiplayer console game I play on a regular basis is Battlefield 4 on PS4. I have enjoyed games like Shadow of Mordor and Black Flag a lot more than most current gen multiplayer games.
Good. I'm glad to see devs pay more attention to single player experiences than forced tacked-on buggy multiplayer portions that hardly anyone plays 2 months after release. And not to mention the trophies that become virtually unobtainable unless you play the crap out of said poor multiplayer from day 1
Thank goodness! Nothing at all wrong with a good multiplayer game, but sometimes I feel that when you have the need to add multiplayer to your game, it compromises the creativity to come up with replay value on the single player content. That's room for both, so not every game out there needs to have multiplayer.
Awesome... and longer hours gameplay too, will you please?!
This makes me happy :) Now i know some of them I'll not like, and that's ok. So far my SP pick ups this year are The Order and Life is Strange, I'm buying two new SP games this month with broken age and this cool looking indie title by Rain Games. Also can we not use this article as way to talk s**t about FPS/multiplayer? Let's just be happy single player stories are not dead like they were saying last generation.
That's a great thing imo. Online games don't really do it for me and when they do it's usually because they accompany a game I got for the campaign. We've already seen the likes of Ori and the order rockin the solo side of things this year, now I'm looking forward to the witcher, batman, halo SP, hopefully a gears collection and maybe some ratchet and clank remake. Also every one of my fingers and toes are crossed for Rime to appear this year.
I welcome them. I need more games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. And I don't even like RPGs.
Music to my ears! With VERY few exceptions, I hate online multiplayer. Now how about companies start implementing multiplayer modes that encourage more togetherness, as in...you're in the SAME ROOM with your buddies playing together again! Online is great and all, but it doesn't even come close to playing games that allow family and friends to be amongst each others physical presence while playing!
Long Live the Single Player Experience
Am I the only person who wants more couch co-op games? I mean, does no one have friends anymore? Seriously. I can count the amount of good couch co-op games for this gen on one hand. How is no one seeing this is a problem. F my life.
See my post above. I said the exact same thing.
Cool but seriously who is disliking our posts lol SOMEONE doesn't have any friends to play couch co-op withhh~
@SilverClock LOL evidently not. Seriously, even with all the benefits of online, namely convenience, having your own screen to play from, etc. I have never had as much fun online gaming as I did playing 4 player split screen Goldeneye or the original Halo, or the countless Street Fighter, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter tournaments my friends and I would have at each other's houses. Multiplayer in of itself is not what makes gaming fun. It's the opportunity to hang out and be with your friends and family that make it great. That got totally lost in the translation from couch co-op/multiplayer to online gaming.
I prefer the way Souls Bloodborne does it. A perfect mix of both, and sometimes it is not welcome during an invasion. The spontaneity is awesome.
Sweet I like multiplayer but sometimes I want to play a game focused fully on camapign that's not half assed just because mp was the focus
