The Gamer Headlines wrote: Square Enix has announced on Facebook that European gamers who pre-order the upcoming Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for the PS4, will get upgraded to the Limited Edition version as long as stocks last.
You can also order it on Amazon for the same price. The only extra in the limited edtion is a desktop calendar.
What's the limited edition?
The US get a calendar and Europe get the steelbook. But I want both.
Awesome, more ports!
A little off topic, but will this share my ps3 trophies like a realm reborn does? I read that its going to be cross save compatible, so i guess it will share trophies?
I doubt it as the game has been released a while after the PS3 version. Unless the game specifically stated PS3/PS4 when they were listed on the servers (I.E Crimsonland, FFXIV etc) then it will definitely feature a seperate trophy list (Unfinished Swan PS4, Flow PS4 etc). Only question is if the trophies will pop when your save is imported :)
I know the PS3/Vita version share them, but haven't heard anything about this one. But I think Dark_Overlord is correct. Cross platform trophies have to be released at the same time...or developed together to get trophy certification. Not sure how saves affect things. @Dark Trophies can't pop off of loading a save file. Trophy tracking is handled by the system itself and the game just updates the system info. When requirements are met, the trophy pops. Since saves wouldn't progress a trophy, I can't see them popping unless there is special code to make it happen.
Soundshapes, Sly Cooper Thieves in Time and Motorstorm RC pop every trophy that has been earned previously when using cross save, as do a few other games that I forget :)
Cross save where the games have linked trophy lists yeah. There is code to handle doing that. Sorry, I wasn't quite that clear in my original post.:) With this game though, since I don't think the trophy lists are connected, I'm not sure it'll do that. Honestly, I'd think SE would want to keep it as a new trophy list, simply because it would motivate the trophy hunters to buy it. If they somehow manage to merge them across three platforms, they'd probably lose sales...but again, I'm not sure it's possible once the first trophy list has been registered with Sony...but I'm not really that familiar with that part of the process, only in how they are done on the system.
ughhh now this is a well deserve "We don't need this remaster" category.
