The Conduit - new E3 footage

Some new The Conduit footage has been discovered. It is a developer walkthrough and features a look at in-game scenes.

OMg. I hate when people say that. It looks NOTHING like Halo. The only thing that's the same is the fact that they're fighting aliens, AND THAT'S IT. The Conduit looks completely original to me, but I guess that's because I never played Half-Life or perfect Dark

I agree... Nothing near-next gen in terms of textures. However, I guess the physics could be considered...maybe.... meh.

The Quantum 3 engine of The Conduit enables effects such as real-time normal mapping, reflection and refraction, post process full screen effects, real-time shadows, projected lights and textures, specularity and fresnel effects, emissive and iridescent materials, interactive water and morphing.

How many PSP games feature all of above effects?

Artistically speaking PSP games like GoW:CoO are far ahead of Conduit, but engine-wise... well, show your evidence.

I thought this game was suppose make the Wii catch up to Ps3 graphics. I was another game? I just don't remember, but i do remember seen some people talking about it in some forums.

What I saw when I watched that video was rather bland enemies that, if the gameplay is any indication of their AI, must take the short bus to baddie school everyday. Unfortunately the environments didn't help flesh anything out because they felt even blander.

Don't get me wrong, there were a few flashes of decent graphics and textures. However, it seemed, for the enemies at least, to follow the school of thought that "shine = good graphics". On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, the environments are really flat and drab.

I will give it the benefit of being early in it's development cycle, but if this is any indication of the final work that this technology they've been touting as matching PS3/360 graphics/AI on any level then I'd say they greatly overstated their magic engine.

P.S. - Could that guy giving the walk-through be any more monotone and sound any more bored?

Hey ps3fanboys i see something new about The Conduit.....I see your here to bash it like alwasy. Game looks good.I mean it cool if you guys want to bash this halo looking game and i get why your mad ff13 xbox bound.Don't feel bad guys...i mean i payed 700$ for my ps3 for ff games and now i find out i could of got it for my xbox.As far as this game goes, it looks great and its for the wii.I like the psp comment most. i think nothing says no brains like a comment like that.N4G the new gamepro forms flame on.
