GTA V Patch 1.10 out now: fixes graphical issues on PS4 and Xbox One

Rockstar has just rolled out patch 1.10 for Grand Theft Auto 5, which it says fixes "graphical issues across GTA Online and Story Mode". After downloading the 4.7GB update on PS4, Digital Foundry can confirm that parallax occlusion mapping is back in the game, and based on initial observations, the performance improvements seen in patch 1.09 remain in effect on the Sony platform.

Thank God, I really hope it was all an accident

I think it was. Parallax occlusion mapping is back in the game, and based on initial observations, the performance improvements seen in patch 1.09 remain in effect on the Sony platform.

So much for all the downgrade talk.

The configs were misplaced.

MasterCornholio1480d ago

That's actually pretty good news especially the performance improvement.

:)

I honestly never even noticed the difference until someone pointed it out. I'm sure if I went looking for it I would have probably noticed a difference. But without a side-by-side comparison and no reason for me to intently examine it, I missed it completely.

Well this is good to know...

Rock Star is one of those top developers so I'm not surprised they got this out so quick..

Really nice job.

If there wasn't #FixGTADowngrade & so much coverage, I bet they would've left it

MRMagoo1231480d ago

If no one noticed they would not either so I guess it makes sense, but I dont think they knew it had happened and it was just a bug like they said, hence the fact they fixed it so fast.

All those that harped on about downgrades due to performance surely feel some sort of embarrassment after this news.

F0XHOUND1481d ago

Absolutely not.... imo, if people hadn't noticed it and given that "feedback" we might not have received this patch.

DoctorXpro1480d ago (Edited 1480d ago )

The downgrade was too obvious to be a mistake. If was a mistake how is the patch more that 4GB?

Genuine-User1480d ago (Edited 1480d ago )

Here's a new video with all the graphical fixes and improved frame-rate.
Have a look - https://www.youtube.com/wat...

P.S., It's the same guy that created the original downgrade video.

strickers1480d ago

It's not. It always lists 4.75 gb as updates. The actual update is only a small part of it. Called a Delta update

What they didn't tell you was that The downgrade was planned to free up resources so that Rockstar could work on correcting matchmaking and server issues without having to completely take GTA offline during the fix. No reputable game maker "accidentally" downgrades a game.

DoctorXpro1480d ago

True that.A mistake 4.7GB wow like a full game size back on 360/PS3 era
