Viacom, Google agree to mask 12TB of YouTube user data

As part of a $1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit, YouTube has to turn over a 12TB database of every video ever watched on the site, complete with user IDs and IP addresses. Viacom has now agreed that the data can first be made anonymous.
