The initial shots at this year's E3 Media and Business Summit were fired by Microsoft, kicking off proceedings with the first press conference of the event.
Shortly afterwards GamesIndustry.biz spent some time with key European execs Chris Lewis and David Gosen to unpack some of what had been talked about in that press conference.
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Game Pressure met with the one and only Josh Sawyer at Digital Dragons and chatted about RPGs, Pentiment, Pillars of Eternity, the state of the industry, and the genre.
The voice actors for Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith have vaguely confirmed a claim by Rob Wiethoff (voice of John Marston) that big news related to the Red Dead franchise will be coming "before Friday."
I hope it's a remake of the 1st game. But it's probably just the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2
I hope a PS5 upgrade launches on the same day as announcement & it costs no more than $10. I already bought the Ultimate Edition once, they got good money from me.
I stopped playing completely 2 years ago until they did 60fps. I really didn't expect it would take this long & I didn't want to start completely over on PC.
My wish is that its optimized for current gen machines, with some sort of story expansion. Undead nightmare 2! My 2nd wish is that it just shadow drops on the day of the announcement!.
I'd hate to support Microsoft. What a rubbish E3. Everything they showed was either copied, or garbage. And the one thing everyone's talking about is a ps3 game. Today, Sony will show how the professionals do E3
what a great conference...Thanks you MS for giving the 360 owners something to look forward to.
I think that Microsoft had a very good showing at E3. Besides the fact that FF is coming to the 360, the dashboard update was something that was really needed. Being able to have Microsoft support parties is huge as well. It seems as though Microsoft is finally starting to prove to Japanese developers that it's okay to develop games for the 360 which will help the longevity of the console. The thing is if you have more than one console, how will you find time to play all of these great games coming out later in the year for all of the systems?
"I think the market has very readily accepted there are three great solid players. We all compete with one another and the ultimate beneficiary is the consumer, I really believe that, that the quality bar just goes up and up and up as people bring more to the market."
Hmmm... so they actually do compete with the Wii after all.
"We've got 12 million members"..."12 million members"..."12 million members"...."12 million members" and also "We've got 12 million members"...aaaarrgghh get out of my head!!!
