Yeah my game mentioned I shut down the system improperly. Luckily I didn't lose any progress but I wasn't very far anyways, would have just started over and tried out a new weapon. You learn a lot in the first couple hours so you'd probably do much better starting over with a clear understanding of mechanics and knowing where to go and what to do anyways if you did lose your save.

I've already had lost of problem with my save files playing Demon and Dark souls before. Their save system is very different to other games. Every time I finish playing the game, I back up my save file to the cloud storage.

i always use the clod save storage. im paranoid over stuff like this lol

Lol. Tell me about it. We got hit with a blackout a few years back when my PS3 was running and when I turned it back on EVERY save file was corrupted. I had over 16+ games completed and they were all gone. From that point on I started copying the saves to the cloud.

Glad theres an easy fix for this. This no doubt happened because of an update check on the game but the workaround is easy enough. *game on*

mine backs up to the cloud so i should be ok.. I havent installed the new update yet though
