Bloodborne Review – Face Your Fears | GamingBolt

Bloodborne is a spiritual successor to the Souls series, a franchise that is well known for its punishing mechanics, high risk and reward gameplay, sense of adventure and exploration in dark fantasy settings. Bloodborne is no different in that regard and carries on that same legacy, but with better visual fidelity thanks to to current gen hardware capabilities. So, how is Bloodborne differ from the Souls series in terms of theme and gameplay features, and most importantly what makes it such an epic adventure?

Didn't enjoy the Souls series but this one I like a lot , just killed first boss from 1st try :D damn that was awesome and such an nice fight made me proud I killed him :D

Same here.. Well sort of, to be honest I never gave Souls much of a chance. I kind of wrote off the controls as being bad, but I think it was just me being stubborn. I am going to retry them now that Bloodborne has me hooked.

I'm happy for you. How much of Soul's did you play? I stayed away too b/c it was niche and everyone scared me. Then, I got it for like $10. I played for a bit and didn't get it, got frustrated. But something happened.

2 months later, I beat it 3x, got the 1000 achievement points and bought Demon Souls. Now, I'm a huge fan.

It has a steep learning curve but there nothing like it. And finally, I think many more ppl will get a chance to try one of From's masterpieces.

Didn't enjoy the souls series? Bloodborne is just like Darksouls. Maybe you didn't give it ample chance. Bloodborne does seem easier to me though.

This game has convinced me to buy a PS4. Just need my in laws to leave so I can hook it up to my 110" TV. Can anyone recommend a good bundle? I see a TLOU bundle on Amazon, but I have that for PS3. Not really interested in other PS4 exclusives. Maybe ISS. I'd like a bundle with a larger HD cause I've already had to delete half the games on my XOne.
