Zombie Army Trilogy Visual Analysis: PS4 vs. Xbox One

Rebellion’s Zombie Army Trilogy is a remastered compilation of the Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army games released in 2013 for the PC along with a third unreleased game for added content. From that standpoint alone, the games stand out as ports for the PS4 and Xbox One than remastered games.

Xbox one is running at less FPS than the PS4 version.

PS4 is certainly running at a slightly higher FPS, and it also has much softer shadows. (Noticing a lot more jaggies in shadows on the Xbox)

That said, lighting effects on the character I actually prefer on the xbone.

Pretty solid example of differences that would only notice running both versions side by side.

Gamingbolt is claiming different the x box 1 version is running higher FPS and its same resolution as the PS4, but i know this N4G and Playstation fans on this site see things outside of normal reality.

Interesting. I admit I only watched the video and didn't read the article at first hence my comment on FPS.

Its definitely possible that the PS4 has larger (more noticeable) drops in framerate than the xbox one, especially if it has some extra shadow/post processing effects running.

That said, neither of the systems looked to be maintaining 60fps in their short clip

Where are you getting this from? From the same place you got that XBO version was running at a lower res?

Been playing this all day on xbox, noticed a few dips in framerate, strangely enough most have been when nothing is happening!

Love the game, i try to play one campaign session per night. Gotta say campaign is funner than horde mode.

Got around to playing Sniper Elite 3 for the first time this weekend. Surprisingly good imo. Good campaign. I want to get this but $50 seems really steep and I'm afraid all the strategy is gone. It would have been nice if they would have thrown in the MP from Elite 3.

I bought Hardline for $60, and Sniper Elite 3 for $9 during the sale, and sadly I have only sunk a few hours into Hardline whereas I play SE3 to death. Same for the latest COD, paid full price and barely play it cuz of SE3.

Let's be honest, it's not as if this game is optimised for either console. It's a lot of fun, but a technical masterpeice it is not.

The game runs, and does its job on both pieces of hardware just fine, beyond that who really cares. The differences aren't stark enough to notice without a direct side by side comparison.
