does Sony own some of nippon ichi? Most of their games are on Sony consoles.. talk about love

Spotie3736d ago

I don't think so. I think their games have just found their most receptive audience on Sony consoles. According to wikipedia, they go back 20 years developing on Sony hardware, though their first game was for SNES.

They're definitely a company whose works I look forward to when grabbing a PlayStation.

Its about finding your audience. It doesn't help that 360 sold a low amount of consoles in Japan. It's going to be even worse this generation with Xbox One selling around 300 consoles per month in Japan. JRPGs tend sell best in Japan so they go for the console its going to sell on.

Actually is Nintendo who has the biggest market share in Japan. It's still incredibly popular here, way more than the west.

It doesn’t seem like a major shakeup , as the man put in the new position has many credits to his name similar to the old president .
