Metro:
The SimCity reboot may have been a disaster but now there’s a new challenger in town, that claims to be the ultimate city builder.
It’s usually best not to rule out a comeback for any video game, but it does seem as if EA has given up on SimCity for good. The 2013 reboot suffered a disastrous launch and a few weeks ago EA shut down developer Maxis. If they do ever bring the game back it’ll presumably be in a completely different form, which is a shame because the reboot would’ve been the basis for a great game if it wasn’t for all the unnecessary restrictions and online-only nonsense. Mistakes which this unashamed clone does not make.
Today Colossal Order and Paradox announced their plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Cities: Skylines franchise.
BLG writes, "Cities: Skylines II is a very worthy sequel to the popular 2015 city-building that improves upon the original. It could stand to use some quality-of-life updates, performance optimization, and mod support, but don't let that deter you from diving in."
If you enjoyed the last entry and its myriad DLC packs, here's a closer look at the difference between Cities Skylines 1 and 2.
The abundance of dlc is what keeps me from buying these games early , I'll pass. I will wait until a complete edition is available. Love these types of games though.
