The PlayStation Vita may not be selling like hotcakes, but the handheld has a dedicated-niche audience and an insanely high attach rate at 10+ games per handheld. PlayStation hasn’t supported the Vita with many first-party titles this past year, we’re starting to see a bit of a change. PlayStation is taking action to insure we get ported versions of some great console games. We’re already seeing titles like Resident Evil: Revelations 2 and Resogun make their way to the handheld, here’s five more games we think will (hopefully) come to Vita in the coming years.
The Persona / Shin Megami Tensei cosplay gathering allowed fans of the acclaimed JRPG series to meet up during FanimeCon 2024.
Plenty of unforgettable games have completely messed up their players throughout the years, all the way back from the PS1 days to the dark recesses of the modern internet.
Deadly Premonition is a pretty weird game, but all of these absolute oddities are even weirder.
Why would people want a handful of ports for a supposed powerful system like the Vita?
I would feel cheated if this was the extent of Sony supporting their handheld device with just ports/
Persona 5 would be the only game worth getting out of that list. But me personally would rather play it on a console at home, not while in a doctor's office or in between classes at school.
Not unless you want a severe downgrade in graphics and a 15-on average frame rate per second.
It would be great to have another proper Persona game on the system though. I think that is the platform where a good chunk of the fanbase was cultivated, simply because Golden was THAT good and everyone who owns a Vita has played it by now. It doesn't even have to be a mainline installment, just a spin-off that plays like traditional Persona.
I'm kinda torn about this. I think the failure of the Vita was the lack of support by Sony to bring standalone games, not cut down home console titles. But at the same time, many people (especially in the West) wanted COD, Uncharted, and inFamous on the Vita. Japanese consumers seemed happy with RPGs, visual novels and the kinds of games that did well on the PSP. It just didn't work out for the Vita.
Sony lost Monster Hunter Franchise!
This fact alone buried PSvita.
"Persona 5 is undoubtedly the most popular game fans want on the Vita."
Monster Hunter?
