The Resident Evil series has admittedly had its ups and downs throughout its renowned history. With a whopping number of over 25 games (and counting), fans have watched as it was molded and mutated into a variety of different outcomes. With Resident Evil: Revelations 2's retail release around the corner, one of our editors wants to discuss the gems of this franchise — the games that he believes are the bloody best of the entire series
Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way. Why?
i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)
I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
If you're looking for 'must have' PSVR 2 games then look no further. These are the 10 titles every PSVR 2 owner should have in their library.
If you're wanting more PSVR 2 support, you should probably buy all of these games.
Speak with your wallet!
I'm trying to decide if it's worth holding onto my psvr 2. I enjoy what it has currently, but it seems unlikely to get anything else. Might be better off just waiting for something with more support if that ever comes.
GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.
I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.
I have most of them 😅
Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.
A new mod brings the highly nostalgic fixed angles to the Resident Evil 2 remake, bringing the game closer to the original 1998 experience.
terrible list
I agree with most of the list. I'm happy that the author wrote "Revelations was the Resident Evil 6 that fans were hoping for" because it's exactly how I feel.
But I do have to complain that in the RE2 part the author mentioned only Leon, considering that Claire is not only my favorite character, but she is also as important as Leon in that game.
Resident Evil 4 will always be the series' holy grail for me.
The original is the best... I believe people love 4 because it was most people's first resident evil.
However four isn't better than the original
I grew up on Resident Evil, from the beginning, and Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game of the franchise. Opinions on this franchise differ but... Resident Evil 6 was a horrible horrible Resident Evil game, I know this to be a fact.
