The latest Dragon Age game creates a feminist, gender-blind utopia
Yeah, it's pretty awesome.
You mean you can choose who you sleep with? Kinda like our super oppressed real life world that you need to be able to use the game to escape from to do... what you could do outside the game. Seriously, why are we acting like this is revolutionary?
and violence never been more enjoyable since they introduce trevor at gta v
If you honestly and realistically think about it... It's rather unnecessary.
"The latest Dragon Age game creates a feminist, gender-blind dystopia" Fixed that for you, Guardian.
whats feminist in treating the sexes equally? This is a game, the more liberties it gives you the more fun it is.
That is actually very anti-feminist to treat all sexes equally. Feminists are very much pro-women and do not care about true equality.
@Kornaholic Only if that feminist is called Anita Sarkeesian. By definition, feminism is actually more about reducing gender disparity and not about making everything pro women > pro men. But some apparently think otherwise because they didn't do some research.
@linkenski Yeah, that someone is you. The definition of feminism can be anything for all I care. What they actually promote is far from true equality.
I find sex scenes cringe worthy at best in every game and definitely x10 the cringeness with family watching me play or the outside the norm sex scenes.
Sex in video games is lame. I'm fine with relationship plots, but I don't need to watch animated sex. This is just thrown in for the 13 year olds. I have a wife and even if I didn't I can Google free porn.
Feminism is all fine and good, but male homosexuality has nothing to do with it . (I'm refering to the screenshot on the article link). I'm kind of tired of being associated with women issues because I'm a gay man. If anything, male homosexuality is the most male centric thing around.
Yeah, I just wonder if Bioware can even make a good story if they discard their romance simulator at this point. Since ME3 and this all the press has been interested in upon release is what it offers for gender equality and romance options. I'm so tired of the internet and its sexism vs feminist schlock these days. I can't wait until gaming gets real again.
