The VitaBoys have compiled a list of the biggest lies Sony has told PS Vita fans since, and even before, its launch 3 years ago.
It's a shame really, the hardware itself is amazing but what's the point if there is little support from Sony's AAA devs? I enjoy Persona and Sword Art Online but I want more western games too.
Agreed. I partially blame the media for crapping all over the system with no reason, almost killing it from the beginning. Anyone who's followed gaming "journalism" for any time knows this. Some site says something negative, then the 5 year old trolls run with it. It's the best handheld gaming device ever made, and deserves the sales and support that could make it the most wanted handheld ever.
5. No 4 player multiplayer in Borderlands 2 4. Vita not as powerful as PS3 3. Taco Bell Vita giveaway winners didn't actually win 2. BioShock and Infamous PS Vita games never happened 1. Certain features (ie Vita/PS3 multiplayer crossplay)
Another whine article? I won't click but let me guess. It goes something like "Sony promised you blah, blah, blah but didn't deliver blah, blah, blah." I mean, it's nice for people to have a hobby but don't complain about it when it didn't live up to your expectations. I know people have a right to complain (we're Americans after all :)) but it looks silly to complain about something that you bought when you didn't HAVE to buy it. You should never buy things on impulse. At least wait and see if it delivers what was promised before you buy it. Incidentally, I love my Vita and enjoy the many games that I play on it. My only wish is that more good RPGs/JRPGs are developed on it.
What you just stated requires common sense and patience, something a lot of people lack. OT Some of those issues you really can't fault Sony for.
Well, it didn't look like a whine article to me but more like a list of the Sony's lies. Anyways, fyi, we, customers do have the right to complain, the law protect the customers against false advertisement, something that Sony has done a lot with the Vita, thats the reason why a court made Sony to compensate those who bought the Vita around launch. Anyways I love my Vita as much as you or perhaps even more, I think its the best console ever and i'm even putting it over my Dreamcast which says a lot but that doesn't mean that i'm going the fanboy's way and deny Sony's mistakes and cry because of this kind of articles, actually we need more like this one because in that way Sony knows that people is aware that they've treatted the Vita like trash and people isn't happy with it. One thing is to bash the Vita for no reason other than fanboyism and a different one is to bash Sony for their lies.
@ Th4Freak It's a whine article because it's the same old tired complaints and people love to complain about EVERYTHING when there are many more important things going on in the world to rally against. It's the sign of a bored, useless society not wanting to take responsibilities for their own choices and shout that its the companies fault when you hang onto every word and 'promise' that a business makes and then whine because they didn't deliver on every single thing they said. Instead of consumers being smarter about their purchases they still blindly buy items without being sure that it is what they are looking for. It's nothing new either. The phrase 'Caveat emptor' (Let the buyer beware) has been around since the 16th century but saps keep falling for it. My earlier statement also stands: At least wait and see if it delivers what was promised before you buy it.
But those are facts, how can that be a complaint if they're aren't affecting the result with their subjectivity? As I said before they simply list Sony mistakes, its that simple, talking about truth and facts isn't complaining, at least you're a communist ofc. And I find it quite amusing and ironic that you talk about how people should spend their time doing more important things yet you're here spending time arguing about video games and damage controlling a company that you don't even work for, dont you think that's being a bit of a hypocrite (besides fanboyism)? Anyways, I don't expect people to know about certain things but if you're going to talk about something then you should know about it, but yet again here we are in a video games website aren't we? Now, why do I say this? Because its been known for almost 60 years now that the consumer purchase decisions can be affected by external factors like marketing, colors used in the product, design, etc, so this means that people can be tricked by companies to purchase their products, reason why there are laws that protect the customers against many things including false advertisement.
"And I find it quite amusing and ironic that you talk about how people should spend their time doing more important things yet you're here spending time arguing about video games and damage controlling a company that you don't even work for, don't you think that's being a bit of a hypocrite (besides fanboyism)? Wow! Did you even comprehend anything I typed? Where in any of my posts do you even see a hint of fanboyism? At least view my post history first before you make that easy, go-to comment. I simply stated that its silly for people to complain about their purchases when they weren't forced to buy anything. That goes for ANY purchase. Damage control?? Where do you see me standing up for Sony? Consumers like to always play the victim when they, in fact, have the purchasing power. Yes, marketing does affect peoples buying habits but that's because it plays on many people's lack of self-control and common sense. If you're going to buy an item for the specific features that it was advertised for, why wouldn't you wait to see if those features were actually there before you purchased it? Some people just love to sue instead of being smarter. And my statement about there being more important things was "there are many more important things going on in the world to RALLY against." meaning it's better to complain about social injustices than a video game console. Read in again in its entirety. Don't take my statements out of context to try and justify some misconception that you may have had.
"Taco Bell Vita giveaway winners didn't actually win". And this was a SONY lie? Huh?
Sony is very good at making false promises. I dont think anyone is surprised anymore.
Look at all the fanboys doe voting you. It's true they are that's why they are in the financial situation they are inn.
Just buy a New 3DS.
I think the biggest mistake with the Vita was how they forced you to buy their special super expensive memory cards on top of the already pretty pricey system. That scared a lot of people away and limited support for the system because of low sales and it never recovered. Now Sonys apparent disinterest in the system is it's biggest obstacle.
My Vita is currently a Persona machine, so I can't complain (because Persona is the tits.) Also trying to get Hotline Miami 2 on there, but the store hasn't updated yet, I think.
for the gamers
No doubt Sony dropped the ball handling Vita. They even lost that lawsuit since they said it would be a certain way but it never was. It's too bad because its is a good system and deserves more games and AAA games. At this point, it has TONS of games if you never had a Vifa but if you buy all the ones you like as they're released over 3+ years then it's a barren wasteland unless you don't discriminate against genre. I am a bit picky so there's very little for me. However, Vita is still my favorite system and I think Sony might even support it again some day...I want Vita 2 so badly though.
It does have party chat and suspend and resume so in that regards its more powerful than a PS3. Borderlands 2 Gear Box just said they had a hard of a hell time getting to run at 60 fps on the PS4 and Xbox One. Personnely I like the Vita version better than the PS3.
