You will unlock the masters as you beat them in the campaign, these masters will teach you new powerful attacks. As you unlock the new master, you can speak to him in the Toki Toki city. You can challenge him to a fight and after winning the fight, he will train you. Your Master will give you more small quests and as you complete them you will receive greater and more powerful rewards.
While a far cry from its successor, XENOVERSE 2, XENOVERSE 1 benefits from its simplicity and its barebones approach to what XENOVERSE 2 would ultimately become, allowing for a more streamlined experience that keeps it concise, tight, and surprisingly therapeutic for those that want a Dragon Ball experience that easy to jump in and out of.

i dont get why the master system has to be so random and convoluted. It should just be as simple as unlocking them, talking to them, and doing their missions. You shouldnt have to keep resetting, hoping for the right person to appear and hopefully give you a mission. its nonsense.
