Sega is releasing Sonic Unleashed on four consoles this year. Obviously, the PlayStation 2 and Wii releases will have differences from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Did you expect the Wii and PS2 versions would have less levels? Crispy Gamer points out if you buy Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 you get nine levels. Purchase it for the Wii or PS2 and you only get seven levels and "much crappier graphics." Ouch. On the plus side there isn't any unnecessary human hedgehog romance in Sonic Unleashed, even though the blue hedgehog is in the "real" world in the game.
Sonic Unleashed on PC? The Sonic community managed to do just that with with the fan project "Sonic Unleashed Recompiled."
Actually the torrent is up and you do not need to own the 360 version of the game. Also it will never be taken down.
u gotta give the hardcore fans credit, they are committed to fix segas 3d sonic games ha.
Still remembered as one of the best Sonic games of all time, I believe it's time Sonic Unleashed gets its overdue remaster after Sonic x Shadow Generations.
I think it's best we leave these games we're they belong...in the past
Secret Rings, Unleashed, Black Knight etc, they weren't the best at least enough for a remaster
Generations is getting one because they had something easy to shove Shadow into before the Sonic 3 film and it's probably the better ones they've did over the past decade or so.
Sonic The Hedgehog has had a long and storied history over the past decades, but which are the best Sonic games ever made?
If I have to read another one of these lists that contains the sentence "The game that started it all" I'm gonna go nuts.
And when it comes to fan favourite zones in Sonic 3 (he mentioned Hydro City, Marble Garden and Launch Base), I'd replace Launch base and Marble Garden with Ice Cap zone. Never heard anyone refer to the others as favourites.
I sorta' stopped caring about this list when I saw Sonic Spinball (a genuinely great game) ranked lower than some of the noted atrocities.
Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed is still my favorite kart racer.
I've never really been able to play online tho. D:
Can't even play Team Sonic Racing online cause the servers are broken and don't queue people together.
P.S. This is such a random list. I really don't agree with it. Maybe this really is how they rank it but them just seems odd personally.
I fear this will be pretty much like Sonic Rivals on PSP, which I honestly don't like.
It makes me sad that they seem to have given up on the 3D approach. What was wrong with Sonic Adventure? That one was pretty good. If you take a look at all the 3D releases of Sonic games after SA, you will see one thing - the camera is getting worse with every game. SA didn't have the best camera at times, but it was still fun. Whereas if you play STH2006, there are places that are UNPLAYABLE if you don't permanently adjust the camera - the boss fight against that mech dog, anyone?
Please SEGA, do whatever it takes to get the Sonic Team we learned to love from SA together and in their old shape again so that we can see another good 3D Sonic. 2D is good and all, won't say a thing against it, but please, don't give up on 3D. They did it once, they can do it again.
9 levels seem like a mini game to me. A PSN store download like Monster MAddness should have been. Had both been so I would have bought them, now no. I'm not buying a 9 level sonic game on a 50gb blu-ray disc.
Eat Sperm Spurt, Sega.
those levels are possibly not possible on machines that use last generation technology.
I mean its still on DVD for PS2/Wii
lol, Sega is like "screw it, it sucks anyway, just end the game on levle 7, casual wii gamers wont even notice! AHAHA!"
in an interview i read, the wii will get more additions than the ps3 and x-box360, like more characters or something...
