Shadow of Mordor's Bright Lord DLC plays like a very thin vertical slice for Shadow of War, but there is one thing in particular that it does way better than the base game - tightly focused storytelling.
The upcoming Shadow of War is making changes I don't fully understand. I mean the loot boxes are not going to be for everyone.
Edit--I'm waiting for reviews now. My current feeling is to wait and see.
After the recent announcements about the game I don't think anyone cares if they pay people to download the DLC. The hype for this game took a really heavy hit thanks to Publisher greed.

The newest DLC, The Bright Lord launched recently and I got the privilege to play it. I reviewed Mordor’s last DLC (Lord of the Hunt) and I was left unimpressed. Nothing really felt new and I felt it didn’t really add anything to the story. The Bright Lord on the other hand is great."
Rather excited about this, enjoyed SoM, waaay more than I was expecting to and actually has been my fave current gen title. Will be picking this up.
