Excited! All I have to say

BitbyDeath3434d ago

Finally, now Sony can announce the PS+ changes.

BitbyDeath3434d ago

Dunno, could be anything... or nothing.
Just strange they have been holding the PS+ announcement back for around this event.

Could be the inclusion of retail games, might be Vue related or even Spotify related.

StrayaKNT3434d ago

Is it going to be streamed somewhere?

Timesplitter143434d ago

I've read that it won't be streamed, since the conferences will be available for a certain price after the event.

Aside from any independent game journo coverage, Gamespot will be streaming the awards and a few of the scheduled sessions:

Nvidia also have a live press conference on, but people aren't too sure why:

There will probably be promo footage released over the week too to take advantage of the outside attention the event gets. Really, though, as GDC is targeted at developers and not the public ( http://schedule.gdconf.com/... ), much of the video footage will be recordings of the sessions/lectures/roundtables that took place so that they can be archived on the 'GDC Vault' site for paying members to access later on. Most of the lecture slides will be made freely available though, either from the devs themselves or, again, from the Vault.

Nvidia is promising big things, Valve is unleashing VR, SteamOS, OpenSourceGL, and Steambox. My Gawd Im excited!!

Timesplitter143434d ago

I may be a bit optimistic but I'm hoping for a HL3 reveal running on Source 2 in VR

MY EXPECTATIONS ARE REALISTIC

SteamPowered3434d ago

I played HL2 on the Rift this weekend and it was incredible. Valve isnt fooling around with VR. The 3d effect was amazing! Even talking to NPCs was a treat. No longer are they somebody on the screen you literally look them in the eye when you talk to them. Its quite surreal.
If Valve does HL3 in VR you know its going to break the Steam Store.

Off Topic: Steam does a VR mode that is quite incredible to behold and its still in Beta. They are taking VR very serious.

DefenderOfDoom23434d ago

Cool . That means developers will be partying with Jeff Gertsmann and the Giant Bomb staff at the Giant Bomb studio this week . Oh yeah.

this GDC will be a testament to the PC's infinite splendor and glory

Sony Handed Out 'Cardboard Edition' of Project Morpheus at GDC 2015

VRFocus- One of the biggest announcements at this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC) was a release window for Sony Computer Entertainment's (SCE) virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), Project Morpheus. The company confirmed that the kit would be launching in the first half of 2016, meaning that there's still roughly a year to go until it finally hits the market. For those that can't wait that long, SCE did give out an amusing gift to GDC 2015 attendees, taking the popular smartphone-based HMD concept and applying it to Project Morpheus.
