Sony Computer Entertainment recently launched the “PlayStation Heroes” initiative and PS4 app in North America, prompting users to purchase special PS4 themes for charity and for a chance to play their favorite games with celebrities.
The initiative launched only in North America for the moment, but it might expand to other nations, as a trademark filed with the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office suggests.
PlayStation Nation. You have a chance to become a real PlayStation Hero by supporting the Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Research Fund at The V Foundation to help those battling cancer.

What do Shaun White, Snoop Dogg, Steph Curry, Yasiel Puig, Shuhei Yoshida, and I have in common? Up until yesterday, absolutely nothing… but as of today, out of some bout of dumb luck, Shuhei Yoshida and I are this month’s PlayStation HEROES, complete with our very own superpowers!
Today Sony Computer Entertainment released a new series of PlayStation Heroes PS4 Dynamic Themes named “Koi Pond” on the North American PSN. In addition to them, three more themes by third party publishers were released.
And I'm going to pay 10 bucks for this.... why?
Edit:
OH it's for charity.
Sadly the app has been a mess, people having problem loading it or downloading problem.
Have you checked this out, Abriel? Can't get it to work, you have?
