Arthur Frawley writes: "So the monsters from Dark Souls, Dante from Dante’s Inferno, Samus, and Simon from Castlevania decided to have a slumber party; and when they woke up Infernax was there. Infernax is in the metroidvania style of games in that it is a low-bit game, is open world, is 2-D, and it involves a single hero against limitless legions of enemies and bosses. What Infernax does to set itself apart from all the other metroidvania games is pretty simple. It has easy and fun gameplay that encourages exploration, it allows players to play the game their way, and it has enough gore to choke up a civil war surgeon!"

"Since its release last year, Infernax has received two major updates, the most recent of which added 2-player local co-op! Very few games gain multiplayer modes after they come out, so we interviewed Mike Ducarme of Berzerk Studio about Infernax's unusual journey towards the land of co-op," says Co-Optimus.
I played Infernex on Game Pass and it was an absolute best to play. Not only is it a hilarious throwback to Castlevania but it has a bunch of other 8bit gaming tropes it parodies.
Not to mention is has multiple endings that are all so, so good. I definitely recommend people get this game.
