Its great to hear The Order 1886 reached the top sales spot and is selling pretty well following its launch. Its definitely a much better quality game than some of these reviewers gave it credit for. The franchise has a ton of potential going forward.

Disagreed with buddy about marketing, not seen anything on uk tv, only marketing I have seen is youtube adverts of the order 1886, hey maybe youtube is cheaper and more target audience these days,
I take my disagree bk lol, sensational story and game 9/10 for me. Didn't quite live upto heavy rain, half life and tlou but hey there my top 3 of all time.

Edit: I can see with ps4 bundles, digital and retail being 500,000 plus 1st week, just hope the pre owned business sector does not hurt it too much being sp only. I can see the game easily pushing 2 to 3 million lifetime meaning no problem for a sequel, want the sequel now lol.

We haven't seen any TV spots because you can't make a b-roll with the mixed bag of reviews like The Order. But it's look almost certain that we will receive a sequel.

I dont doubt you guys havent seen any marketing, that is because you have chosen to ignore it rather than there hasnt been any marketing. Cause Sony marketed the game heavily, its even the background picture on their US blog

I hardly watch tv, but in Ireland here and am sure UK is similar, the Order was advertised a lot between shows, the Conspiracy trailer specifically

Seeing as the superbowl is one of the biggest american watched sports events and how expensive it is to advertise in the airtime, that is big marketing for the game

Just goes to show that reviews sometimes don't influence a games sales. Especially when it's a well crafted game like the order, you can tell the developers really put good time, blood, sweat and tears into making this the best possible experience!

Unfortunately the game is pretty bad and it's just marketing doing its job. You're looking at a very short game with no reason to replay it besides trophies. Calling it shallow isn't enough. Also I thought the encounter design was very bad, the game is just boring. Nothing happens and if you think it gets better it really doesn't.

Short my MF a$$ my friend just told he beat the game last night on normal, and it took him 11hrs.

I started on hard and I'm about 2-3 hrs in, and I know I'm nowhere near finishing this game soon. man I love ppl like you who needs other ppls opinions to know what to actually think about a game Without actually playing it for themselves.

I respect your opinion, but I saw it differently and enjoyed it very much, but then again I don't nitpick about SP vs MP and QTES and Button prompts (which I'm starting suspect some people don't know the difference) don't bother me.

My enjoyment of the game had very little to do with good marketing.

So I've noticed I go to a gaming site and see 100 people that played the game saying they loved it. Then I see 100 people, who may or may not have played it, say it sucks or gives some generalized critique which sounds like it's just parroting what someone else says.

I'm no genius, but at what point does it become apparent that the people that play the game generally seem to love it...or at least like it?

As someone who is part of group who writes reviews, I absolutely love the fact this game is doing well in spite of all the review scores.

Many want to bash it and say it's awful, but those of us who gave it a chance were pleasantly surprised. I can't wait for the sequel!

Gaming Reviews will be become extinct just like magazines if they don't stop with the hate, I agree everyone has a opinion but it's pointless giving a game like the order to someone who dislikes the cinematic, qte experience to review ( even though it's no different to any other game basically), opening of cod, press l1 unbuckle left strap, press r2 unbuckle right strap, oh the helicopter has been hit again, so original, hits building, gets out if heli and same old gun mechanics, run and gun lol, I prefer new experiences like the order not rehashed shit like cod which sells millions and gets 8/9 for the same old boring shit
