The team is on a quest to save their kidnapped friend from a villain named Phantom. The cast of Phantom Breaker is varied and unusual, as you would expect from anything that has to do with anime. In today's day and age, we don't see too many side scrolling beat 'em ups, but Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds is just that. As something so deliberately retro, it has its good and bad points, but is still fun to play if you're into old school games.
