5 Superhero Franchises That Rocksteady Needs To Take Over

BagoGames

Rocksteady Studios is set to release the final game in their Arkham trilogy and once Batman’s behind them, they’ll surely have plenty of free time on their hands. Since they’ve done very well using comic books as their medium, here are a few superheroes that deserve the Rocksteady treatment.

I'd love to see them do a Samurai Pizza Cats game.

Great license, the Arkham gameplay and use of a city would suit the Samurai Pizza Cats martial arts and 'Little Tokyo', plus it would be nice to see Rocksteady try their hand at something a bit lighter and more colorful, with a lot more humour.

Obviously, it would never happen, but a fella can dream, can't he..!?

gangsta_red3344d ago

They could team up with the Street Sharks and Biker Mice from Mars!

Seriously though, Samurai Pizza Cats? That was so random that it was brilliant.

Flash be Excellent game for rocksteady to tackle .

If they do Green Arrow then they need to do the actual GREEN ARROW, fans of the show or not I don't want to see any crap from the series. They changed way too much stuff here and there which doesn't even resemble it to the Green Arrow. I really hate it when people say they are fans of Green Arrow then use only Arrow as their example of why they like the character. I really wanted to see a more down to earth version of the character, instead of it being "grounded".

Anyway the one franchise they need to make after Batman for me is Constantine.

Demons, Creatures, Ghosts, Monsters - Enemies
Dark Arts and Guns - Weapons
Ancient Relics - Gadgets

They could actually do a down to earth Constantine game which sticks closely to the source material.

Set it in a gritty, dark Britain, maybe a village he's called to so we have that open world feel like Batman

Have John voiced by a rough scouser

Smoking, Alcohol, Painkillers which heals your health a bit (Ironic) lol

Superman deserves a good game. Saying that he's overpowered is a cop out because Superman can be hurt and he has all his abilities to make him a great character to play.

Punisher is a no brainer and pretty much writes itself for any game developer. Hell, just take Max Payne and throw a Punisher skin over it. I think the Punisher would be a no brainer and a win/win for any developer...as long as they put in the time.

PixelGateUk3344d ago

I'd prefer to see them do their own thing to be honest

Spawn

It's been long enough since that movie (that I've NEVER seen, boycot's still rolling!)

Al Simmons is due for a comeback!

Edit: only DC universe?

then.......Lobo?

jokerman273344d ago

They may only be DC Universe just because as of right now they're working for Warner Brothers, but who knows that the future may hold. I wouldn't mind seeing a Spawn or Cyberforce game. 90's Image comics rules!

rynodigital3344d ago

After my NG+ of Arkham City I couldn't help but think that Rocksteady's version of Spawn would be fantastic!

SmokingMonkey3344d ago

I've had an image of this game running in my head for YEARS!

Cell shaded
Extremely DARK
Open World
Teleporting
9999 counter

OH MY SCIENCE!!! make it happen!

Or a Brock Samson God of War game, that's in my head too...with a lot of useless 80's GI Joe and Transformers information.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a massive departure from the Batman: Arkham games

Four-player co-op. An open-world Metropolis. One impossible mission.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is upfront in its desire to embrace chaos. Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark have been assigned an impossible mission: Save the Earth, or die trying. To complete that assignment, they'll need to kill the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe. The reward? Maybe The Agency will remove those Nanite bombs from their heads once the dust has settled. Maybe. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Rocksteady's first game since it shipped Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, and it's set to be quite unlike anything gamers have seen from this studio before.

I loved the Harley Quinn animated series but I do not find this premise appealing. I was really hoping they would make the first good superman game. This is I don't even know how to feel about it. I think the only real thing I can say is...

"King Shark is a Shark."

Nodoze1323d ago

and that is NOT a good thing. Rocksteady's Arkham series were masterfully done. This looks like a sunset overdrive type online garbage title. Very sad to see this as I was expecting MUCH more from this studio.

Batman: The Court of Owls Explained

IGN says, "The next Batman game revealed this weekend at FanDome might feature the Court of Owls, and we've got an explainer of who they are for you."

blackblades1342d ago (Edited 1342d ago )

They'll like a organization that runs gothem behind the scene from what I know from watching the Batman vs robin animated movie without reading an article from "IGN".

Phoenix761342d ago

Yeah pretty much. The court of owls Is an underground organisation run by Gotham's Elite class of people that had been around for about 200 years and even Batman, the world's greatest detective, didn't even realize that they were operating under his nose.

TallDarknWavy1342d ago

It's basically DC's version of The illuminati. It's a bit silly.

BrettAwesome1339d ago

What Batman game? What game had been announced where you play as Batman?
