5 Superhero Franchises That Rocksteady Needs To Take Over

Rocksteady Studios is set to release the final game in their Arkham trilogy and once Batman’s behind them, they’ll surely have plenty of free time on their hands. Since they’ve done very well using comic books as their medium, here are a few superheroes that deserve the Rocksteady treatment.

I'd love to see them do a Samurai Pizza Cats game.

Great license, the Arkham gameplay and use of a city would suit the Samurai Pizza Cats martial arts and 'Little Tokyo', plus it would be nice to see Rocksteady try their hand at something a bit lighter and more colorful, with a lot more humour.

Obviously, it would never happen, but a fella can dream, can't he..!?

If they do Green Arrow then they need to do the actual GREEN ARROW, fans of the show or not I don't want to see any crap from the series. They changed way too much stuff here and there which doesn't even resemble it to the Green Arrow. I really hate it when people say they are fans of Green Arrow then use only Arrow as their example of why they like the character. I really wanted to see a more down to earth version of the character, instead of it being "grounded".

Anyway the one franchise they need to make after Batman for me is Constantine.

Demons, Creatures, Ghosts, Monsters - Enemies
Dark Arts and Guns - Weapons
Ancient Relics - Gadgets

They could actually do a down to earth Constantine game which sticks closely to the source material.

Set it in a gritty, dark Britain, maybe a village he's called to so we have that open world feel like Batman

Superman deserves a good game. Saying that he's overpowered is a cop out because Superman can be hurt and he has all his abilities to make him a great character to play.

Punisher is a no brainer and pretty much writes itself for any game developer. Hell, just take Max Payne and throw a Punisher skin over it. I think the Punisher would be a no brainer and a win/win for any developer...as long as they put in the time.

They may only be DC Universe just because as of right now they're working for Warner Brothers, but who knows that the future may hold. I wouldn't mind seeing a Spawn or Cyberforce game. 90's Image comics rules!

If I had to choose from that list I would love to see a proper Punisher game. Something gritty and violent, with context sensitive interactivity, loads of guns, heavy action and great story.

Id also like a Hulk game, haven't seen a decent one in an age. The best one was two gens ago.

Superman, I'm not that jazzed to explore at the moment. As I think about it, I don't find it as compelling or interesting.

Green Arrow has never been one of my favorites. I've never seen the show nor am I interested in doing so.
However, solely based on his abilities I would say that maybe a nice stealth type game with arrows and gadgets might be interesting and different.

Arent they owned by Warner Bros ? Wich owns DC , aka Marvel rivals ? I'd say that it's unlikely then for Punisher and anyone at Marvel .

Personally i'd let them do their own game free from licenses for a change

Traveller's Tales (Lego Games) is published by Warner Brothers, they knocked out a Marvel Superhero Lego Game,it can happen :)

And while they're at it they'll do Marvel Live action series, and Marvel Animated films because since the Disney acquisition their animated films have disappeared.

WB Games owns Rocksteady, and Warner Bros is going hard with their DC properties.

But no WB Games has their head on straight, so your logic is pathetic. Rocksteady will continue with DC games if any Super hero games.

Open world. Cover based. Battle Van to get around. Customizable guns.

Maybe even a mission planner, kind of like oldschool Rainbow Six games where you plan your entry and movements before hand. A war room to choose which weapons and gear you want to bring.

I would literally kill for that game.

IDK if Superman would really be Rocksteady's style, but Superman needs a good game. Something with an open world (it's not Superman if you don't get to experience flying around the city), but detailed story missions that understand what makes Superman great; his ethics, making tough decisions, and dealing with being Clark Kent.

And he doesn't have to be immortal. Look at the DCAU Superman.

I'm gonna use my last bubble here to say that IF a Superman game was to be made, I would think at the very least it should be not just open world, but open planet and maybe even some space type missions or combat or something. Just wouldn't be Superman, without REALLY exploring what its like to BE Superman, and that goes far beyond just roaming the Metropolis and fighting thugs.
Pick ANY superhero and they can do that, a Superman game needs to be more, much more.
