Yes lets compare a finished product vs a work in progress product .Cuz who cares about logic right guys??

KingDustero3141d ago

Exactly, plus who cares? Slowing the game down a tad isn't going to ruin it or anything. All I want in the end is a balanced game that's fun to play. I've never been able to get into SF, but am hoping this'll be the one that draws me into the franchise.

"Slowing the game down a tad isn't going to ruin it or anything."

Well, this aspect of Super Smash Bros. Brawl disappointed many Melee fans, not sure if that's important for SSFIV players as well.

Ha Ha Ha! The haters have had their fun with The Order: 1886, now let them move on to the next PS4 exclusive!

@KingDustero
As pointed out by Metallox, slowing the game down is actually very critical in a revered competitive game/series such as Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros. The speed difference fundamentally changes up the gameplay and tactics used whilst playing, and could be for the better or worse depending if you like slower or faster gameplay.
@Mr Pumblechook
Just to point out since I personally dislike such misunderstandings, Street Fighter V (5) is coming to the PC platform, it is not just a PS4 exclusive. Also, playing through "The Order: 1886", I didn't complain about the length per se (since I did not finish it myself), but I felt like there was not MUCH depth to it. It had an amazing setting and atmosphere, but the forced walking sequences were kind of irritating in my opinion. It was also a really linear and fairly slowly paced third-person shooter from the time I played it at my friend's house (around 2.5 hours). Although I was not "sold", I felt like I could pay maybe $20-30 for it since I kind of enjoy those shooters, plus, it looked gorgeous for a console game. At the end of the day, I think this $60 dollar set-in-stone price has to go away. The average consumer prefers to get the most bang for their buck, and if you can only get one game, the person will almost always get the one with the most playtime given to them. So for games like this (and some multiplayer-only titles), they should be reduced to a new price tag to help justify to the consumer to buy the product.

Fireseed3140d ago (Edited 3140d ago )

Actually let's. I'd rather let them know my discontent with the game BEFORE it launches. But hey, I know how much everyone LOVES a game coming out not exactly the way it should, right?

@KingDustero

It actually matters A LOT, SF was already the slowest fighting game out there. Which was fine for the the strategic playstyle it emphasized, but any slower and it risks ruining it's competitive nature. We already have players good enough to see the first few frames of an attack and react accordingly... give them more time and well it just becomes a big ol parry game.

DarkOcelet3141d ago

Charlie looks bad@ss. The graphics looks bit more improved then the last gameplay.

Fireseed3140d ago

Yeah visually this is looking great!

WESKER20153140d ago

i couldnt really tell the difference in speed to be honest Lol

Inception3140d ago (Edited 3140d ago )

To me it looks the same speed as SF IV. But comparing a game that still in work and only a couple of info here and there VS a finished game that already had a lot of balances updates is really...pointless.

Oh well, i can see this as another try to downplay PS4 exclusives. The Order and Bloodborne already experienced it, so why not try with SFV even the game still in works and didn't have release date?
It generates more hits too, right guys? ^^

Story quality? WTF
Like this website? Hell shit NO

testerg353140d ago

So now its an "exclusive" when its also coming out on the PC? When that happens on XB1, its always "I'll get the better PC version from PS4 fans."

Inception3140d ago

It's a console exclusive because you don't see this on PS3/vita/3DS/WiiU/X360/X1. Plus, there will be no SFV if Capcom didn't come to Sony and ask Sony to fund it.

Sm00thop3140d ago

I did think it looked slower to be honest, but that don't mean it'll be bad for it, plus its a work in progress. Its not all about speed in a fighting game, there's plenty more depth than that. Personally I hope its a decent mix between footsies and mix ups, SF4 leaned more to the mix up side and set ups on the knockdown. I'm pretty happy with what I've seen so far, I think it'll end up being damn good.

This is clearly about viewer counts... Esports relies on high viewer counts to make money just like any other sport. Sponsorships...
