Here's What Meta Knight Looks Like Without His Mask

"For years, players have wondered what resides under Meta Knight's mask. Now, with the release of the Meta Knight amiibo, we finally have access to an actual replica of the character. A reddit user took it upon himself to take Meta Knight's mask off to see what's beneath, and it isn't pretty" -- Nintendo Enthusiast.

"For years, players have wondered what resides under Meta Knight’s mask."

Ehhh no. It's already revealed in one of the games that it's basically kirby with a dark purple/blueish skin tone. Also no copy abilities. Probably why he was called Meta knight to begin with.

Also both meta-knight and Kirby resemble what their former species used to be. Highly skilled warriors with the ability to copy the abilities of anyone who they devour.

Really? They've shown in many times in past games.

Ha! Cool to see how they are constructed..

The important bit is in the base. The NFC chip (similar to an RFID tag) is all that is needed for the NFC functionality. The rest of the figure is just useless plastic that is given artificial value.

There is so little required for the NFC, that it can be done with cheap cards (think like trading cards, but with a chip embedded), something that Nintendo has been rumored as planning to release.

Did you line up at 4AM @ Best Buy to get your toy this weekend? Nintendo has been trying to shed it's "kiddie" image for years yet they decide to release toys? I don't think they know what they're doing.

But isn't he basically just a blue Kirby?

$40 is absolutely ridiculous. $15 made sense, but you can literally get full on games for $40… what in the hell is going on?

PapaBop17d ago

$40? wtf that is insane. I got a few sometime ago and those things should be more like $15 tops for the quality of them. Nintendo going to Nintendo though, people will still pay $40 and scalpers will charge double that and idiots will still pay.

A Spokesperson for Nintendo was quoted as saying “Shut Up, and Buy!”.
