Destiny Player Finds Auto Rifle That Does 365 Damage

Destiny, although a very polished game on Bungie’s part, is well-known for its glitches, be they ‘cheese’ methods in Raids or hiding places in Strikes. Emerging today, however, is a peculiar sight – a Legendary Auto Rifle that does a maximum of 365 damage; which is 34 more than the current damage cap.

Update:

Admin note: It's not "365 damage" it's 365 attack rating. Attack rating allows you to do max damage to a target by overcoming their "defense rating" which we tend to associate with their level and type (normal, major, ultra). So, all this does is allow you to overcome a higher level that doesn't exist in the game, not increase your damage to creatures in general.

I haven't played Destiny so I don't know if that rifle is any good. :/

Kenshin_BATT0USAI3211d ago

It breaks the current damage cap so and it's impact is higher than 1 so yes, it's definitely good.

TimeSkipLuffy3211d ago

ummm... if you don't play Destiny why do you care if it is good or not in the first place? :D

I don't know if that is fake or not but fully leveled it makes more damage then the current version of this auto rifle.

GortJester3211d ago

Maybe he's a gamer and just wants to know what the big deal is about the article.. some people are so rude for literally no reason.

csbunk023211d ago

Why is everyone being a cunt to this guy? "cool story bro" "ummm... if you dont play why do you care?"

Damn people, he's just curious as I am if this is really that big of a gap.

Sometimes I feel like this community is loaded up with Autsitic Asperger Gamers or everyone is just so burnt on that troll life, a genuine question immediately scares people.

Spinal3211d ago

The point is why did he feel the need to comment on an article he has no idea about? clearly he just wanted to be the First comment. Sad dude, deserves any insults he gets.

You are leaping no? I think it is beyond pointless to comment on an article about a game you have never played only to point out that "you don't know if this is a good weapon". Sorry if common sense hurts your head lol. Also if he had read the article he would have seen that the weapon is most likely a damage increase that will come with the New DLC so by the law of common sense...Yes this weapon will be even better then it is now and right now? it is good.

Edit: I'll gladly take the title of Cunt.

Spinal3211d ago

So why comment on an article you have no idea about? You just wanted that first comment aint that right? You sir, are Sad.

Christopher3211d ago

It's not "damage" it's an attack rating.

Regardless of attack rating, all that does is allow you to overcome levels of an opponent. It doesn't increase damage beyond the norm.

So, this player has a gun that can overcome higher levels of defense. It won't allow them to do more damage to players in PvP or to level 12 mobs.

Battlefieldlover3210d ago

no... it will let him deal more "damage" to level 32/33 enemies... i'd sure like that weapon right now.

nice find.. I wonder if when it's maxed out it'll actually do 10% more damage than everyone elses maxed out Up for Anything rifle?

I would think so.. Also, I wonder if this is the only one out there, there might be more that haven't been reported.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter188d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood188d ago (Edited 188d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro187d ago (Edited 187d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881187d ago (Edited 187d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell187d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig187d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast187d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername187d ago (Edited 187d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g187d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka187d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it
