I usually rent these games from gamefly but I think this time around it's a day one purchase.

GMR_PR2355d ago

It look cross gen. Graphic don't look too good. But this game is more about gameplay.

BiggerBoss2355d ago

Graphics arent anything mind blowing, but I wouldnt say they "dont look too good".

I wonder how the visuals will be on the 360 version

nveenio2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

I'm not interested in this game. The first reboot was okay, but I'm not buying a Xbone for this game. When it comes to PS4 and drops in price a little, I'll pick it up. Or maybe if it hits a sale on Steam.

EDIT: And GMR_PR is right. The graphics are no better than the first.

4Sh0w2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

Graphics look amazing to me.....they have that "tight bunz" asset=

-but I never get too high on screenshots, I rather judge the final product in motion, gameplay.

starchild2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

What in the world...? I think it looks pretty good. I'm sure it will be an improvement over the Tomb Raider reboot, which is already one of the best looking games (on PC and definitive edition on PS4/xb1).

obmas2355d ago

Yeah... nothing about these screenshots look impressive to say the least. Should have just ditched the last gen.... but then again, that is a huge chunk of sales

bouzebbal2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

graphics are far from being impressive. looks like an old gen game to me. (what's wrong with the fur???)
Tomb Raider died after Final Revelation.

@WilDRangeRfc: what's wrong with you? it's coming to PS4..

alabtrosMyster2355d ago

So bad graphics are a good thing now a days? :-/

What world do we live in now?

srd44842355d ago

I will try to rent it but if i dont get it shipped im not sure what ill do. Soo many games releasing I think i can wait.

Magicite2355d ago

Hype is building up, now all fingers crossed that we see PC and maybe PS4 release in 2016.

ginsunuva2355d ago

A day one purchase based off magazine scans?

LOL good one

Tapewurm2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

Shame it's only on the bone (for now...hopefully)......enjoyed the reboot on PS3 and PS4....not buying a bone to play this..... will definitely buy for PS4 if it truly is a timed exclusive.

XanderZane2355d ago

Weather effects, snow, rain, wind and incredible graphics. Hell yes it's Day One purchase for me. This games is going to be awesome and better then the first one.

GCO Gamer2355d ago

I was actually really impressed with the first one, trilling. I may have to Day 1 this one.

WildArmed2355d ago

Agreed, TR was pleasantly surprising. I had a lot of fun with that game.

Can't wait for this, hopefully this also revisits PC eventually. Looking up to be a better game than it's well received predecessor.

christocolus2355d ago

The reboot was awesome. enjoyed every minute of it. The team at CD are obviously very talented.cant wait to see what they do with the sequel.

ginsunuva2355d ago

How did you guys like the reboot?

It was not bad, but by no means was it way above average.

Blacklash932350d ago (Edited 2350d ago )

It was definitely high-quality and well-made. The soft-cover system and gunplay, and general controls were very well designed. It also offered features that distinguished itself from the competition, like the "hub" maps and evolving toolset for Lara.

Looking good

I recently found out that MS is publishing TR

poor_cus_of_games2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

Why do you spread misinformation? Square enix is the publisher. Ms is the Co publisher. Hence why it's a timed exclusive.

christocolus2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

Foehammer isnt spreading any misinformation cos MS is indeed the publisher not co-publisher

Nekroo912355d ago

christocolus even you are trying to change information?!

""Yes, Microsoft will be publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox," a Microsoft spokesperson said."

But Square enix will publish on the other platforms

"Our partnership with Microsoft on ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ does have a duration, but we aren’t discussing those details at this time and are focused on collaborating to deliver a great game on Xbox One and Xbox 360.”

Even on the video MS release for games in 2015 , when tomb raider shows up it say XBOX EXCLUSIVE HOLIDAY 2015.

RiseofScorpio2355d ago

If you think MS is gonna let a game they've sunk a lot of money into go to a direct competitor your gonna be dissappointed. Just like Dead Rising 3 and Ryse.

ziggurcat2355d ago

you mean just like the first bioshock? or even the first mass effect?

MS *does not* own any of the rights to TR, and spencer has even stated:

"I didn't buy it. I don't own the franchise... I'm not trying to fake anybody out in terms of where this thing is. What they do with the franchise in the long run is not mine. I don't control it."

so once the publishing deal expires (because it "has a duration"), SE is free to take their game to whomever they choose. and if you think that SE is going to pass up on the larger PS4 install base, you're sadly mistaken, especially when SE has complained in the past about sales not meeting their expectations. do you honestly think that, regardless of how much money MS gave SE, SE would be satisfied with the sales numbers if it's limited to MS platforms - a platform that yielded lower sales of the previous TR iteration than its competitor?

GMR_PR2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

Exactly just like those games you mentioned. PS4 will probably see a version in a year+, by then everyone will have moved on to new things.

christocolus2355d ago (Edited 2355d ago )

What misinformation?LOL. Those are Squareenix words not mine. They've stated over and over again that MS is the sorry but at this point no other platforms have been announced or do you have a link confirming this

"But Square enix will publish on the other platforms"

also Squareenix confirmed it themselves stating that MS would be handling the publishing of the game and outside that nothing else was stated(go through the links i provided above). Also the head of CD cleary states that outside publishing and marketing the game ,MS will also be assisting with development.

So there you have it.for now its just the Xbox version available and its the version being previewed here.nothing until other platforms are mentioned and more info is released all we know is that the game is currently an xbox exclusive(timed or not)and is being published by MS.

Man-Eee-Faces2354d ago (Edited 2354d ago )

The Bioshock and Mass Effect 1 are different circumstances.

Bioshock was a 2k published game and it was developed while the X360 was the only next gen console out on the first year of last gen, so it is an exclusive by default.

For Mass Effect, EA bought Bioware and they made a deal with MS to have Mass Effect 2 as a one year X360 exclusive in exchange for the publishing right to Mass Effect 1.

On all the published games by MS thus far, Ryse, Dead Rising 3 are all on XB1 and PC later on.

When Spencer said "What they do with the franchise in the long run is not mine. I don't control it." He is talking about the IP in general like Ryse and Dead Rising are also not their IPS BUT for Ryse 1 and Dead Rising 3, MS does OWNED the console publishing rights and since they hold the rights to publish on console and there could be no other publisher so I doubt you will see it on any other platform. Think Sunset Overdrive.

Ill let you figure that one out. Don't think to hard.

headblackman2355d ago

this game looks amazing. i will be getting this one.

Andofaus2355d ago

"This game looks amazing"... It sure dose, the level of detail in some of those shots are incredible. I can't remember seeing a game were the emotion on the faces of the characters is so believable. On top of that I'm loving what the developers are saying about the game. No question day one for me.
