Wii Fanboy Review: Top Spin 3

Reviewed by Alisha Karabinus, she writes:

"The team behind the Wii version of Top Spin 3 was not exactly working in an enviable position. It seems a little funny to call a pack-in game a juggernaut, but that's exactly what Wii Sports is, and any game that sets out to deliver a realistic sports experience to Wii owners is up against that suprisingly excellent set of mini-games. Every tennis game, realistic or not, on the system is going to be compared -- probably unfavorably -- with a game that was free, and that's got to chafe.

Unfortunately, it looks like someone was all too aware of that inevitable comparison, and worried besides, as Top Spin 3 tries too hard to be too many things to too many people. Not only did PAM Development and 2K Sports strive to create a top notch tennis simulation, they also tried to make it easy to pick up and play ... and the two don't exactly go hand in hand when it comes to a deep sports game."

I own this and must say the controls are not bad...just not good. The graphics arent bad but the involvment is stale at best.Ball boys do not move the crowd is in 2 frame mode crowd noise is non-realistic.I want a true realistic tennis game with 1:1 controls this didnt deliver and i wouldnt even give it a 6.5

Not really, most of those games were available on multiple platforms.

Just so happens that the PS magazine wrote the article so makes sense it would be 'Playstation's greatest games' :)

Gamepyre: Top Spin 3 Review

Gamepyre writes: "When Virtua Tennis 2009 first came out I was very excited about the game; I was so excited that I actually went and got it on release day.

Virtua Tennis 3 has been one of my favorite PSP games, and I could not wait to see what the 2009 Xbox 360 version of the game brought to the table. After playing the game, I was very disappointed in Virtua Tennis 2009; not because it was a bad game per say, but because it wasn't anything new from the previous release."
