Life is Strange – Episode 1: Chrysalis Review - Telkom Gaming

Perhaps the only gripe I have for Life is Strange is that the replay mechanic needs a little tweaking but other than that, I just wish the first episode was longer.

Heavy Rain defined the genre, it was ground-breaking at the time. I think the next episodes of Life is Strange will be even better.

Being an overweight hairy bloke in his mid thirties I found it quite therapeutic playing an 18 year old girl. The story is good and has a Donni Darko vibe to it. I'm looking forward to the second episode and encourage you guys to give this game a chance, you won't be disappointed and may actually find it quite liberating.

The interaction system seemed a bit niggly for my taste, but other than that the story itself is very intriguing, I can't wait to see what they do with it.

The dialogue can get a bit cringe-inducing at times but if you can get past all the that, its a pretty solid game.
