Why We are Hyped For The Order: 1886

The Order: 1886 is a game that re-writes history by introducing a unique vision of Victorian-Era London, where Man uses advanced technology to battle a powerful and ancient foe. This game looks to be a dramatic, emotional, nail-biting ride that simply wasn’t possible on any previous console generation.

alexjonh3043213d ago

lolzzz... why not.. this will decide the fate of PS4 in 2015 - First Exclusive title for it .. Man

thanhgee3213d ago

Ermmmmm I don't see how this will determine the fate of the PS4 in 2015...

Kamikaze003213d ago

No offence alexjonh304, but I think the lack of exclusives for the XBone for the next 7 or so months is more likely to decide it's fate, than this for the PS4.

Griever3213d ago

Order 1886 will decide the fate of PS4??? You make it sound like the PS4 needs a savior. The fate of PS4 has already been sealed... as the winner of the 8th generation.

ArchangelMike3213d ago

The Order will decide much more than just the fate of the PS4, it will also decide the fate of the Xboxone 0.o

T2X3213d ago

No. It's will decide the fate of this new IP, but certainly not the PS4! The world is acting as if this the only game coming for the PS4. I already at this early point in the consoles life have hefty backlog and can't keep up anymore.

I have reached saturation point with all the Order articles. I'm now on media blackout until the game releases. I don't want anymore spoilers, or toxic fanboys ruining the experience for me.

T2X3213d ago

I know really. It comes out in a few days. I'm staying far away from articles because I don't want to know about it.

Only 6 more Days. Can't Wait. This could be what uncharted was for ps3. Hoping RAD work on a sequel.

WilDRangeRfc3213d ago

They should patch in MP later,I would even pay for it,I need a Gears style TPS for my PS4 dont want to wait until Gears 4,thankgod for the TLOUR MP that im hooked on

NO! We do not need mulitplayer in every game! Mulitplayer is the reason gaming has devolved from an art form to just shooting, killing and blowing everything. Where are the epic stories, interesting characters, iconic heroes, beautiful soundtracks and enchanting worlds??? Why people find mindless and aimless violence so fun but unique single player experiences so dull? It is truly sad to see the state of gaming today for a pre-mulitplayershooter era gamer.

Two-Face3213d ago

There are still plenty of only single-player games with the factors you just mentioned today. Probably more than multiplayer games.

Are you living under a rock or something? And if you think all multiplayer games are mindless and aimless violence then I feel sorry for your knowledge of games.

tamarkovia3213d ago (Edited 3213d ago )

@griever Well said, I agree with such passion and it seems as though developers do understand the fiscal need and enjoyment for multi player, their are plenty of games for everyone. Back in the day multiplayer was my thing and my most enjoyable times great for social interaction, don't knock it.

Griever3213d ago

@Two_Face

No need to feel sorry for me. I probably have been playing games before you were born and know a lot more about them. Feel sorry for yourself for being born in this era and having the tastes that you do. Single player games may still exist but they often have a tacked on multiplayer. we constantly get opinion and articles claiming the death of single player campaign. We are getting games that have a tacked on single player or even lack a single player and have to be online to work. We were going to get a potential artistic masterpiece in the form of The Last Guardian and even that got delayed. Now we are getting Order 1886, a creative new IP, and it is being bashed to hell. Where are these large number of brilliant single player games that you talk of? Any new melodious soundtracks from videogames that are hit with gamers? Any new compositions by Yasunori Mitsuda or Nobuo Uematsu or Yoko Shimomura? How about naming some latest iconic heroes in the league of Solid Snake, Mario, Cloud, Crono or Link? If there are any then what is their ratio compared to the ones created during the 5th, 6th and 7th generations? Finally, what part of multiplayer shooters is thought-provoking, deep, emotional, philosophical or artistic that you were so offended by my allegation? Tell me they arent just based on fun derived from people killing other people in a virtual environment? Multiplayer is fun but all games do not need multiplayer. I have played a lot of crucible in Destiny for the past 3 month so I know. If you like it then cool but please do not demand every game to feature a multiplayer!

DemonSlayer4203212d ago (Edited 3212d ago )

More developers should take note from From Software. Demon's Souls is an epic RPG with an enchanting world & beautiful soundtrack that seamlessly integrated MP into what feels like a living breathing SP game. That game is so perfect in every way and that my friend is how you innovate with MP. I agree that The Order doesn't need it, 4 player Coop would be a much more welcome addition in the sequel in my opinion. Either way, I'm so excited and I can hardly take the wait anymore, give me the game now!

Yeah.... just like The Last of Us "needed" multiplayer, despite that part of the game not really being talked about or hyped up, and despite the fact that out of MILLIONS of people who bought it, only a few THOUSAND actually tried it or stuck with the online multiplayer modes.

The Last of Us one of the most memorable single-player games of all time, and nobody is out there raving about its multiplayer to any greater degree than the campaign, even though it's great and pretty unique. That is not what most people who talk about it focus on, because that's not what is most memorable by an absolute landslide.

Nazareth3213d ago

If you been a gamer long enough you know what genre of game you like obviously and can have a "feel" that you'll most likely enjoy a game before you play it. The order has my undivided attention Feb. 20th.

The Order: 1886 pushed visuals hard in 2015 - And still looks stunning today

Digital Foundry : Released in February 2015, The Order: 1886 was a stunning PlayStation 4 game at the cutting-edge of rendering technology, with visuals that still hold up today. The game's release pre-dated in-depth Digital Foundry coverage, something we're looking to address with this new video! Ready at Dawn's game never received a sequel and never received a PS4 Pro upgrade, but thanks to developments with exploited, older firmware PS5 consoles, we can now show you the game running locked at 60 frames per second.

The gameplay was bland and extremely frustrating at times with unnecessary QTE combat at points. But the world and the lore and the characters and the story were fantastic. I’ve always wanted a sequel. I still hope Sony will surprise us one day.

Sony missed the opportunity to acquire Ready at Dawn Studios.

But... Sony didn't want Ready at Dawn. Clearly
