Since MGSV is bigger than Skyrim. Then it will be bigger than GTAV.
I thought Ground Zeroes was a bit big for a small game. Then this which is 200 times bigger will be super massive.
I cant contain my excitement and the Night and Day difference will make the replay value unbelievably amazing. Also the weather will make an awesome challenge.
I am very eager to play this game. Kojima has never failed me. Looking forward to losing a lot of sleep and getting yelled at my boss for being late to work. #LaLiLuLeLo
90% of it will be empty space. I can create a game world 10000x bigger than MGSV, but it's still nothing to brag about because it's mostly empty space. Ikusagami for ps2 advertised 65000 enemies on screen, but it amounted to basically cutting grass with a sword. I guess that's all dynasty warriors style games though.
Empty space? I don't think so. Kojima always put an intricate amount of details in his games. It will feel alive, like a real place and you can fulton almost everything. I cant wait. None shall escape my fulton.
All I need this year are The Phantom Pain, MK8 DLC and Zelda Wii U. It seems that everyone has forgotten Zelda. Also a new Star Fox game. It's gonna be fawkin awesome. A genuinely great year for gaming. Hopefully it all turns out perfectly.
Imagine if Rockstar release some single player DLC for GTA5 too.
Not only was GTA V developed solely for last gen hardware, but I think comparing it to the PP map is pointless anyway. Most of the PP map will be open countryside/desert (not saying that's a bad thing) and GTA V has a huge full blown breathing, living city in it. I don't think we'll see anything on par with that until the next GTA arrives. The detail and little touches in GTA V still blow me away today. I'm not taking anything away from the PP as its one of the games I'm most looking forward to, but you can't really compare the 2. Apples and oranges.
I'm glad I scrolled down and saw your commment before I posted because I was going to basically say the same thing. It's pretty moot to have a super huge game world if story and missions are only going to take place in certain areas/bases. It seems like it will be a chore to travel long distances. Will free-roaming unlock hidden areas/items/missions? At least with GTAV, you could stumble across those extra missions or find cars/activities that you were looking for.
Not that I'm not looking forward to the game (I am very much) but huge worlds seem really pointless unless there's something to do in them.
He makes a valid point if you actually know about the history of media formats.
PS2 and XB used DVD9
360...used DVD9
GTAIV was small, was missing many features and it was revealed that it was due to lack of space as they are again...using the exact same format as last gen when they made GTASA.
GTAV used an extra disk for 360 as an install to solve their problem, but clearly....if they again had bluray on both, it would be BIGGER or at least have much more features as a Bluray is STILL larger then 2 DVDs..
You follow me?
Thus.....he is correct to state that GTAV indeed could have been larger if released this gen ONLY, as they would now be making it with NEXT GEN in mind, ie Bluray on both, HDDs on both etc.
MGSV is also on last gen systems yes, but MGSV is also unknown about just how much disk on 360 is actually being used to fill it up. They could be using 3 or even 4....
Just Cause is 400 square miles according to Wiki, and it fit onto one DVD. I'm pretty sure GTA V is not that big, as I have played both, but I couldn't find any info to confirm this 100%.

What game is GTAV San Andreas?
(in the map)
Remember, GTAV was also first a last gen titlte. Could've been larger if it was this gen only.....
Edit:Apparently, someone disagrees with facts. Umm, ok.
