The Order: 1886 – One Week To Go

IM PLAYIN discusses The Order: 1886, as the game nears its release date.

"As a gamer who has really enjoyed the Xbox One exclusives that I’ve played over the past 16 months (I know, time flies when you’re having fun!), The Order: 1886 will represent my first folly into PlayStation exclusives on their release date (I’m not counting playing The Last of Us, it was already out on PS3 and I didn’t play it when it first came out on PS4, so yeah). The Order will see us jump into the role of Galahad, well, the latest in the line to bear Galahad’s name. For those who don’t know, the first Galahad, whose gallantry could not be matched by anyone, was a member of King Arthur’s Round Table and son of Sir Lancelot, as well as one of the three people to ‘achieve’ the Holy Grail. Our role with him, however, I’m sure will be slightly different."

One week seems soo long all of a sudden. But yeah I agree with the author, instead of throwing around criticism on a game we haven't played, lets take the "wait and see" apporach. It might turn out to be an average game at best, or it could end up being a masterpiece. If you're into this type of TPS period-action-heavy-storybased gam, then you'll enjoy it anyway. And that's all that matters.

On a side note: Since when is getting a Playstation Exclusives at release considered "folly"? Surely if getting a Playstation Exclusive at release is 'folly', then the same has to be true of getting a Nintendo game at release, or an Xbox game on release? Or should we assume that it's fine to get games on release for all the other platforms except for the Playstation platform?

I'm wondering if the author meant "foray" as oppesed to "folly".
