VRFocus- The 2015 Game Developers Conference is just weeks away, taking place on 2nd - 6th March 2015. The show will see virtual reality (VR) developers out in force, with both Oculus VR and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) confirming that their latest respective head-mounted displays (HMD) will be showcased, while plenty of other studios will be showing their software. A number of VR-related sessions are being hosted, one of the most important of which has recently been revealed. Legendary developer and Oculus VR employee John Carmack will be talking mobile VR at the show.
Unreal Engine VR is a new mod tool that brings VR support to tens of thousands of Unreal Engine titles and for free.
Praydog is amazing..not only made a lot of modern Resident Evil games to work in VR, now its Unreal engine games...definitely a talented guy
Morels: Homestead, a relaxing game in which you can create your own unique homestead, is available now for PC VR.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that while F1 23 will support PC VR it will not support PSVR 2 on PlayStation 5.
That's fine. GT7 would overshadow it anyway at it has open wheel and regular cars.
Should have been spending their time updating Squadrons with better resolution, frame rate, haptics, etc as there isn't a game like that on PS VR 2 yet.
But it's EA. They don't think.
A wasted opportunity, but I don't buy EA / Codemasters stuff anyway. Grid Legends just came out on Plus and I haven't touched it. Why would I when I have GT7 and PSVR2?
GDC Cannot get here fast enough. Nvidia is teasing something big "5 years in the making"-methinks it may be the Pascal structure or maybe even producing their own Cell Phones.
PLUS Steam is bringing in the new OpenGL and will be unveiling some Steam Machines that may come with SteamOS.
The VR potential excites me beyond belief and I truly think thats the next evolution in gaming peripherals.
