Unofficial app allows you to play Destiny on your Android device

You can now play PS4 games like Destiny on (almost) any Android device via an unsupported, unofficial Android application.

SonZeRo3775d ago

Promising, now if only i could get it through the Playstore.

CongoKyle3775d ago

Probably not, unless there's money to be made for Sony :P

UKmilitia3775d ago

it will be on pc before end of year

Nicominoru3775d ago

Instead of keeping this a little niche thing I think whoever is responsible for this should present this to Sony. They could definitely make bank from something like this. Unless for some reason Sony doesn't like the idea.

Gh05t3775d ago

If history has shown people like this anything its to run and hide because Sony is coming for you.

TWB3775d ago

Uhh, your comment/suggestion is kind of ironic.

This is the same app Sony uses for their Z2/3 phones, somebody at XDA dev forums just cracked it open and altered/modified it to work on wider aray of devices (and Im not trying to degrade the author of this app by saying this).

I dont know anything about the "legal" details about this project but usually XDA mods keep the forums pretty clean of illegal things so I guess it still should be okay to use the app but Im pretty sure this is a type of app that google/sony wouldn't allow to exist in the play store.

Sillicur3775d ago

Nice, now the game must just come to PC :)

MasterCornholio3775d ago

Sony has to make remote play available across all devices not just theirs.

kayoss3775d ago

Its hard enough to play destiny via remote play with the PS Vita. I cant imagine trying to play Destiny with a mobile phone...Its a big NOPE for me.

Thehyph3775d ago

It's better on my Z3 Compact than on my Vita. However, the phone has native dualshock 4 support in its favor, but the Vita has ad-hoc in its favor. Overall though, (and for what little that I use remote play) the phone is my preferred experience.

Just installed it and looking forward to new info about Switch 2

VenomUK76d ago

Guys, let me save you the bother of downloading this: there’s no Xbox, PlayStation or Steam coverage.

b00mFargl376d ago (Edited 76d ago )

Ya think? It seems odd that Nintendo wouldn't include Xbox, Steam, and Playstation on their app. It's quite unusual. 😅

Chocoburger77d ago

Not really worth debating over. Its just a free news / media app. If you care about Nintendo properties, then yes download it. If not, then avoid it and move on with your life.

Becuzisaid76d ago

Probably more worth it than coming to n4g day after day

hiawa2376d ago

Oh, hell yeah. Installed. Have loved Nintendo since the 80s.

I really like the nintendo music app, that totally has me pay for things people have uploaded to youtube 23 years ago.
