I played the import of type 0 and its great its coming to the west but I find it weird its coming to ps4.

I was going to pre order to get the demo of 15 but I changed my mind. I can wait untilt the release, I don't want to pay full price for a game I already have and played recently.

I will be looking forward to reading and hearing peoples reactions to the game demo though :)

Godmars2903517d ago

They wanted to make a version of Type-0 that exploited the PS4's hardware. Making allowances for a PSV version, especially when the PSV isn't a generally favored systems, would have held it back.

vishmarx3517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

theyre essentially buying sales for type-0, which is a great game by itself and increasing the jrpg userbase on ps4xb1 for ffxv
while ive hand a few hands on sessions with the psp version, i havent played it so im cool regardless

You are lucky to be so Strong ,congratulation.
I also played FF type 0 (130 h+ and one of my favorite game), but i am still going to buy the hd version for 2 reasons :
1.I did not pay FF type 0 the 1st time , now i can ease my mind.
2.Watching FF XV demo on YouTube wouldn't be as fun as playing it,i really need this game in my life since 2010.

Let us hope FF XV is as good or way better than FF type 0.

pivotplease3517d ago

Also don't want to pay full price for a remastered handheld game. I've heard it's great so that's good news. We need something good to rebound from XII and XIII. I realize people like XII so I'll get disagrees, but that story and those characters...just brutal. Oh and programming in macros like an MMO so you don't have to think or play wasn't cool either (same with XIII's auto-chain). Let me press something other than 'X'.

Adrian_v013517d ago

Uhm...you've been pressing X plus directional buttons in all FFs...XIII had the R and L buttons mapped as well though... I don't see a major change in controls in the past titles.

We've reached advent child's level of visuals!! WOW

Godmars2903517d ago

At the cost of FF4-FF9 gameplay.

kratos1233517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

i can live with that

Lionalliance3517d ago

And how is that a bad thing?

goldwyncq3517d ago

Change is not a bad thing.

Godmars2903517d ago

@goldwyncq:

Except when change = less options/ignoring narrative mechanics.

FF13 committed ad infinitum "sins" in regards to plot, scripting and character presentation/development that, from a personal standpoint, Square has forfeited any credibility as storytellers. To me.

F0XHOUND3517d ago

I'd like to play your copy of final fantasy XV please :)

Godmars2903517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

@FOXHOUND:
Give me a couple of million, a few odd years to either learn UE4 and/or a good team, and I'll get back to you.

Though I'd be aiming for Firefly meets Final Fantasy.

pivotplease3517d ago

Kind of agree with Godmars, but it can't be worse than XII or XIII gameplay. That bored me to tears while this looks to have some action elements that may change up the game (assuming they haven't trashed Nomura's vision). Plus we're getting the overworld and vehicles back to a degree. That is the most welcome change of all tbh.

goldwyncq3517d ago

Just last year with Ground Zeroes.

pivotplease3517d ago

Boom. Still can't believe I paid 8 bucks for that. Should have waited for another sale.

Taislin3517d ago

Since people have been waiting for 8 years to get their hands on it, and since it has 4 hours of content.

NoctisPendragon3517d ago

Since they have put a lot of effort(and money) into it.
And since , most of us are graphics whores who wont buy FF Type 0 HD for 60$ so easily.

FFXV demo is a good way to force a lot of people to discover FF type 0 , its a good thing.

Those who only want FF type 0 will buy it later when the price drop.
Only a PS Vita user could complain.

josephayal3517d ago

not bad, but I just don't believe in Square Enix anymore

pivotplease3517d ago

Agreed. I'm pretty sure the dream might be dead. Tidus' disappearance was symbolism for the end of Squaresoft. The eternal calm symbolized the end of compelling narratives and conflicts. I still have hope for this next batch of games, but Square is actually french toast if they don't pan out.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion163d ago (Edited 163d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled163d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.

Final Fantasy 15 director reveals why he left Square Enix, and announces he's working on 2 new JRPGs

Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.

Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.

FF15 is like FF13 its subjective people either like it or hate it.

raWfodog295d ago

I liked it. I haven’t played the royale edition yet but I’ll get around to it one day.

gold_drake295d ago

no no, 15 wasnt trash.

15 had a tremendous difficult development.

FinalFantasyFanatic293d ago

I really believe 13 was better put together and more complete than 15 ever was.

EternalTitan294d ago

Found the pathetic troll.
How is your jobless life going?
Dot worry, you will never get a job or a girlfriend haha!

Hofstaderman295d ago

Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.

TheColbertinator295d ago

I didn't care much for XV and I always wanted the original vision of Versus XIII but I think the dev team did what they could to salvage the project

Inverno294d ago

And yet people still blame him for the game turning out the way it did, rather than SE for the horrible mismanagement of 13 and Namura for being overly ambitious.

Dwarrior295d ago

Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.

gold_drake295d ago

this is also why Sakaguchi (spelling) left.
