Last year, New Blood Interactive and Psyche Studios released a top down SHMUP title called “Super Galaxy Squadron” for the PC. To it’s credit it a was a fun title a breathe of fresh air as the SHMUP genre is still what many consider dead, despite releases of several new games and even remakes of old school titles such as Darius. However the experience was still a barebones experience and it felt like it wasn’t complete, that something was missing. Well, it was and here it comes in the form of Super Galaxy Squadron EX.
Justin Celani writes: It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s a million bullets trying to hit me in the face! Super Galaxy Squadron has dropped players into a time warp of epic, shooter, proportions. Where choosing a ship, dodging bullets, and destroying massive on screen enemies was THE genre to play. Does Super Galaxy Squadron have what it takes to bring back the elements of pain we so much deserve?
Awesome bullet hell gameplay with sweet pixel art graphics and a soundtrack composed by none other than Random Encounter, what more is there to desire in Psyche Studios' Super Galaxy Squadron.
